My company is BYOD so I purchased mine myself. They allow me to connect via WiFi and also set up my exchange account to sync email, tasks and calendars. I pay my own bill but I am ok with that since they also provide me a company lap top.

Both, plus. Parent company provides our field service counterparts a gawd awful ruggedized Casio of some kind. In a sort of "mini revolt", about a year & half ago, all 26 of my crew dumped our company purchased Q10s & purchased 9900s out of pocket. Most of us pitched in to help a few purchase, also. Management ultimately reimbursed us and now justifies an embarrassingly proportioned device budget for OUR crew. A budget we've applied toward both 9900s AND Classics. Also quite a few Passports and even three 9650s (long story).

I should point out that my crew originated as a company I had started and was acquired by our "big corporation". As such, so long as we continue to return highest margins in the organization, we manage to exercise relative autonomy. . Our Classics and 99s are essential to that somewhat unique mission.
