Being 6'1" with perhaps slightly larger hands than normal, I was expecting easy phone UI manipulation.

I'm actually finding it rather challenging to navigate with one hand. The screen is hard to reach the left hand side and upper areas. At the same time the toolbelt and keyboard force a fairly low grip and makes me feel susceptible of dropping the phone when I try to mainly use them.

Just curious how others are getting on.

Q10 was the ideal size, IMO. Classic is a tad porky.

Both devices are great for one hand usage. Of course the Q10 is better for that but the Classic is also very comfortable, especially because of the slightly bigger keys and the back button.

It's wider than I expected but still relatively easy to use imo.

A lot of the times I navigate with trackpad when needing to go far left on the screen.

Agreed with the consensus, Q10 is more one hand friendly.

That being said, I have no issues using the device one handed. I do use it with two hands the majority of the time, due to email reply speed.

I find the back a little slippy at times, specially when I have a beer in my hand and the finger tips are a little moist. But I think a case will rectify that.

To stay on topic, phone is very one hand friendly.

Classic is too big. I always have trouble reaching the top corners with my thumb. Hope they make the Classic 2 smaller. Q10 size is the best.

I think the idea with the classic. Is to use it track pad and tool belt to nav the phone one handed

I can reach most areas easily one-handed with my right thumb. Only difficult spot is the upper left corner, for this area I have to readjust the phone a bit in my hand.

In my case I nearly always use the track-pad anyhow (app-selection etc.) .

Yea, I don't use the gestures, I use the trackpad which makes it much more one hand friendly.

Il try using gestures and let you know how it goes.

First night with the Classic and I have small hands for a dude. 1 handed is tough for me, but the tool belt and gestures really help.

For texting and emailing, I use 2 hands so I can speed things up.

Not rocket science to figure out that the smaller mobile is easier one handed... BUT Q10 screen and keyboard is too small for many... hence Classic!
