I use both. Passport personal and Classic employer owned. Other than one handed typing, the Passport is my preferred device.

The classic is a solid device, as everything bb10 device, totally under rated, going for my second classic, BLUE.

Thanks guys for replies! I have the same feelings about Classic...

So, you've decided to change your main device or just want to have the Classic as a "backup phone"? I had passports (black, then red) in the past, but, let's be honest, it's not as productive as Classic (you can do things on Classic much faster and more convenient).
For main device. I agree, the Classic is leaps and bounds more suited for productivity than PP (in my opinion).

The Classic's primary function is communication and for me, it is the best device for that. Are there a few things I would have preferred to be a little different (smaller device, removable battery), sure, but this is what was produced and I have been very happy with it from day one. I would absolutely get it again.

    Have some classic devices

Just can say those manufactured from 15 / 08 are better build.

    Regards
I'm curious, could you elaborate on this? In what way are the later built models better?

"Would you still buy a Classic today?"

Only with a significant price drop and removable battery maybe.

I just did actually. I have the Classic since yesterday and the only thing I can complain about, is the perfomance. Android apps from the Amazon Store run very poorly. The apps I use aren't games, but apps like Onenote, OfficeSuite and my banking app. I knew, that the Classic wasn't that fast, but I thought it could handle programs like these.

Got an Amazon warehouse deal for 179. Working flawlessly so far. Only packaging had a little nick. Phone was perfect.

I just did, too. Went all out and got a new, unlocked Cobalt Blue 100-4 to replace my beloved Z30 as my primary communications device. For me, the PKB was key. Still learning to type fast. At least I'm a lot more accurate, which is what I was looking for.

Yes I just did. Blue 100-1, been using a z30 which is great, my wife is going to have this to replace an old curve. Classic and iPad mini works for me.. I don't think there will be another bb10 device..

I recently replaced a PP, after about 10 months use, with this Cobalt Classic. If the Classic needed to be replaced right now I'd get another.

Given the reports that BlackBerry will make no more BB10 devices, I'm hoping the Vienna will walk and quack like a BlackBerry.

Blackberry should go out with a bang if they have to stop selling phones. The last one should be a legacy BlackBerry device.

Settle down, you just got the phone. It takes a couple of days for it to setup and configure n what not. Battery life will be even better and everything will improve.
