Absolutely! I've had my Classic for A year now, and mine is one from the early builds dated 12/18/14. It's been an absolute communication workhorse, and it's built like a tank. It's lived a pretty hard life for a phone, but it's protected in a hard shell case and also a glass screen protector.
I've dropped it a number of times, a couple of those drops have been on concrete with no visible damage to either the shell or the screen. It's on me when it's raining, and I've left it out in my vehicle in -25F for a couple hours and it's been no worse for the wear.

This is impressive and good to hear -- I just got my classic a week ago and have already fallen in love with it. I baby my phones for the first few months but it's good to know it won't have a problem standing up to everyday life.

No. Frankly if BlackBerry came up with the Priv a year before I wouldn't have got the Classic, it always meant to be my stopgap. I like vertical sliders much better.

100 percent yes. Form factor, key board and tool belt functions are all on point and uber efficient for me and my needs. I own a Z10, Z30, Passport and Classic. Honestly all have their good points but the Classic is my daily driver and workhorse.

This is going to be off topic, but how is Face10? I see it in the Beta Zone all the time, but never download. I use the native app for notifications and use the mobile site with a shortcut on my home screen.

Only on WiFi and primarily for reading since the SIM hit the Classic. The Passport is an amazing BlackBerry device but it is the form factor that prevents it from being in my hand or pocket as my daily while managing our business. The Classic, for me, is the ideal size and far more comfortable for calls. (I also prefer the 4 row keyboard, track pad and tool belt)

Have a Passport, Passport SE and Priv in addition to my trusty Q10 and Classic. Played with the Priv but too many issues - some Android based. Love the Passport SE but form factor makes it too difficult to use. So after all these phones which one do I use every day..............Classic. To answer more directly, not only would I buy the Classic today but I just did .... another one in blue because I am tired of being bound to ATT for updates so I got an unlocked unbranded blue one.

I think the blue classic is the best looking phone on the market. Followed by the. SE passport and s6 edge.

Classic what else.
apart from being the daily driver by many folks for easy handling, even preferred before the PP, the Classic is just excellent.

Still wonder, about the economy factor too, why would someone (specially IT departments in charge) spend some $700 odd on a Android device if you can have at least "two Classic" or with a bit of luck a PP and a Classic for the same price, including a much more secure platform.

The Classic is an unbelievable BlackBerry mobile communications device. Had this been the device released when BlackBerry 10 launched (and with 10.2.1) rather than the Z10 and Q10 and initial 10 release. BlackBerry would likely not have had to make a BlackBerry hand set running Android. It's that good in my opinion. The keyboard, physical dimensions and efficiency is just excellent. In my opinion the best device Chen has released.

For the features I love, I'd happy move to a Priv or whatever follows, provided I can get one for a decent price, not the ludicrous amount they're charging for brand new (I bought the Classic second hand, too).

I've installed & re-installed Blend and Link on a Macbook and it frequently refuses to transfer documents from the phone to the computer.

One of the reasons I chose a Blackberry was that I thought I could easily transfer anything & everything back and forth. Even better I could forgo Blend & Link and make the laptop see the phone as an external HDD... but no. It simply says "this disk is unreadable by this computer".

I used to have a Windows phone, which was really cool, but absolutely terrible at linking up, as in, not once did it work.

The Blackberry tries, but it's flaky. I just want a link that works fine all the time. Is it really only an iPhone to a laptop that has this cracked? Is it really such black magic?

I have zero issues with my BlackBerry's and using Link and Blend with my HP desktop and laptop on Windows 7 Pro and Windows 10 respectively. Could the issue be with the Macbook and or a setting/configuration?

Got a Classic for Christmas (Z10 since launch before that, 9810 before that), will run with this for the next year, then will probably go with iOS.

Would've looked at a Priv, but seems BlackBerry is not interested in the Australian market, not to mention if it does come here, would probably cost around $1200.

using Windows the fast and reliable way to acess your files is using WIFI and not Blend or Link. On your device setting, storage and acess, turn on acess using wifi, then on your computer , open explorer and open the device folder that will appear. One great point on OS10 and OS10 devices is that it is very reliable on networks, you will ever see your device if your wifi is ok. on Mac should be the same
