Hi,

Long time blackberry user here. Using a Blackberry Q10. Once i upgraded to a windows 10 machine i was no longer able to install LINK or BLEND software. I have tried to install via USB from Q10 and from downloading drivers.

Half way through the installation it told me the install had FAILED.

THAT's OK, I CAN LIVE WITH THAT.

What I cannot live with is i am now stuck in Windows 10 update Purgatory

My PC keeps trying to install BlackBerry - Net - 3/23/2016 12:00:00 AM - 1.0.0.38. (a long with another windows 10 update) and it cannot install this update. I would like to just remove this entirely from the computer, i have the chrome BB10 extension so i don't need USB access any more.

How can I get rid of this: "BlackBerry - Net - 3/23/2016 12:00:00 AM - 1.0.0.38." ? update from continuing to try and update over and over and failing? It's even preventing 2017-05 cumulative update for windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems from installing/finishing.

Did you check your Programs and Features to see if Link or Blend are partially installed? If so, uninstall them. If not, go to local component services and disabale any related to BlackBerry or RIM.

Hi Tim, thank you for the quick response. Yes i have checked and uninstalled a while ago. I also went to services and scanned for anything blackberry related. I even searched the registry and still nothing. My gut tells me this has to do with Windows 10 Updating , if there was some way to remove the BlackBerry - Net - 3/23/2016 12:00:00 AM - 1.0.0.38 from updating and get rid of it entirely, i think i would be OK. But I'm still stuck. Welcome any thoughts as Formatting/restoring PC is not an option, my PhD is still in progress and I can't risk losing any data.
