    Yes. Plain as that.

Edit: no. Changed my mind. Q10 FTW

One of the biggest reason for me to upgrade from Z30 to Passport is:

    Quad-core 2.26 GHz Krait 400

And I am glad to find out that my Android apps are running so much more smoother now.

    Another big reason is:

    1440 x 1440 pixels, 4.5 inches (~453 ppi pixel density)

And the screen is much sharper now with Passport.

I never understood people saying the glass weave is slippery. I can hold my Q10 one handed without supporting the bottom of it at a pretty good angle and it'll stick on my hand. But I can see if you don't have dry skin like I do that it can become slippery I guess...

I actually like the glass weave of the q10.
I just don't have a stronghold preference either way.
But I know some do. The point is that it is not a universal upgrade or downgrade.

Glass weave is more exensive than a cheap rubber back. Therefore, to me it is a downgrade.

There's nothing that's going to come in tech in the foreseeable future that would require high end specs on a 3.5 inch keyboarded phone. The only thing I can think of is oculus rift/virtual reality and I can't see that even being an option for a few years anyway (including Samsungs recent effort)

1.5 is fine. I have a z30 now. I doubt I'll notice much a difference. I just grabbed a Kindle with a 1.5 quad core processor and it lags way more than my 1.7 dual core z30. That shows me it's not the hardware alone. It's all about how efficient the OS is. I'm not worried about the classic.

    I'll be buying it.

My Z10 on 10.3.1 is great. My z30 is even better. The classic fills a specific niche market and I think it will sell well spec'd as it is. I hoped for the same specs as the passport, but I think it will still be great as is.

I won't buy it right away if those specs are true. I'll just suffer with my crap phone and its half broken touch screen until the Classic 2 or until the Classic drops below $300. Aside from the specs, the unnecessarily large size of the phone bothers me. Just seems damn tall.

Unfortunately Verizon never chose to carry the Passport, which is why many of us are hoping the Classic (which will be on VZW) won't run with an SoC that's three years old.

I'd love a Passport if I could actually buy one.

Due to the gap at the bottom of the screen, (which many reviewers are saying collects dust like crazy), and the lack of a removable battery, I'm choosing another Q10 to get my happy **** back in the BlackBerry game! No classic for me. Same guts as the Q10 with the same 720/720 with a bigger screen which means lower PPI.

    minus AMOLED display
    minus user replaceable battery
    minus glass weave back

...and Blackberry Q10 is USD 225 on Amazon!
I hated the Q10's AMOLED screen so much I sold it. Not a selling feature in my opinion.
