I'm traveling to Toronto for a conference in August. I'm currently using Classic on Verizon in US. Can I purchase a Rogers sim card and prepaid data plan while I'm there? Would I get LTE? I don't quite need talk and text.

I've been looking up the bands of my Classic and Rogers network, and it seems to work but I'm not quite sure. Can anyone help me out? Thanks a lot!!

Your safest bet is to contact verizon to make sure, I know they support cdma and gsm, so it should pickup rogers by default, but due to carrier roaming limitation it's alway safest to double check. I'm currently using unlocked classic on wind Canada and my usa carrier is verizon. Hope that helps

I had a Verizon Droid turbo and used that in Rogers in Canada and got LTE. I believe the classic has the LTE bands rogers uses. 700 and 2600 are the most commonly used.
