I passed on the Q10 for 2 main reasons, lack of trackpad and lack of visible data.

Now what I mean by visible data mainly means how many lines of data or icons are on screen at one time. For example, looking at emails on my Curve I can set the Curve to have 14 emails listed on the screen at once.

Looking at the Q10 you can see only ~5 at most. I find this very inefficient. I can get over 100 emails a day and paging 14 at a time is not so bad but 5 would be 3x as much work.

I fear that since the Q20 will be touchscreen, it will have thick lines of very few data like the Q10.

Do you think they will have a mode on the Q20 for thin lines and maximum data viewage?

Classic should have exactly the same software (rumours say specs aswell) as the Q10.

Bummer. Is there a setting on the Q10's that allow more data to be seen on screen? I know changing font size on my Curve makes a big difference on how many lines are shown.

Just checked. You can change font site, but it wont change the size of the lines

It's a bigger screen so I suppose you'd see more lines.

Maybe, maybe not. I have no experience with the 10.3 or the classic. Either way maybe he can just upgrade and deal with it. There's no reason to suffer with every other outdated aspect of the phone for that small want.

OS7 and previous adapt the thickness of the lines with how big you have your font set, BB10 changes font size, but doesn't change lines. Who knows maybe in a update.

Well if the Classic has so few lines viewable, I'll be forced to go Passport. And here I thought the Classic was going to be a perfect next BB for me.

Can only hope Joao is wrong and that BB is making some definite alteration to OS10 for better trackpad usage.

True but it's a q10 + tool belt nobody knows how classic it really is till they release it. bb needs to create some software options for it such as the suggested more viewable lines and a real home screen instead of live tiles

Yeah after thinking about it, I feel it would be of real poor service and not listening to customers if all they did was put a tool belt on a Q10 with little forethought to the new functionality benefits from the whole tool belt. OS10 has to be different.

Despite the 0.3" biggerscreen, the resolution should be the exact same, wich will mean it will have the same amount of lines as the Q10

It should have the internal specs of a Z30 (thank God !) and a 2515mAh battery (at least). The toolbelt is still relevant to access functions with one hand and shortcuts are back ! Real specs in 3 weeks... Can't wait !
