Why preorder the Classic?

I almost preordered the classic but cancelled due to the lack of specs confirmation.
I really don't get why they won't tell is the specs.

Having said that, I get why people are preordering.
There is simply no other device like it. So if you want that type of device, you will buy it, regardless of the exact specs.
