Sadly, I think you've hit the nail on the head with that! That said, I have just watched the new Classic promo video from BlackBerry and I couldn't help but think I want one.


Still loving the Q10............ Until I get a Classic.

If specs does not matter, BlackBerry should release BB10 for Bold 9900. It has physical keyboard and touchscreen already. Thousands of people will be happy.

So one day, we'll have to say: Classic/Q10/... are too old and their hardware can't handle OS10.x, whereas Passport can. Although Classic is much newer than Q10 and has nearly the same price as Passport. Does that make sense? No

So BB10 doesn't need specs .......... but it needs dual cores and powerful processors...........same ones it had 2 years ago that just about did the job.

have a look in the news today about the medical app that uses the Human Genome Project data. There's at least one app for you that is definitely enterprise only, and needs a fair bit of power

I don't recall enterprise apps needing Crysis level specs... it will be. Better than just ok.. that 9900 will get smoked by the classic even when you think the specs aren't so hot.

It's really helpful in low light, when the flash can be at a decent distance. Also nice for macros, and you aren't giving up much resolution.

The Z30 is listed with 16 days of standby...I wonder if anyone has been able to get that kind of standby time from it. But then again it does state UPTO - meaning thing less than is also valid.

It's probably a time that can be obtained if nothing is running and minimally used. I noticed on amazon today that the M8 was touting upto 2 weeks of standby time if put in "extreme" manual mode - whatever that means. I like to think of this as a gauge to how long it will run if I just carry it but not really use it and can expect it to still have some juice before needing to be re-charged.

Not giving up much resolution? You're giving up exactly the amount of resolution you would if you just took the photo normally, and then cropped it to frame it like how you would... Except doing it the digital zoom way means that you have no option to change that frame if you didn't take it exactly right.
