    The messages do promptly appear in the Gmail sent account.
    "Use push if supported" and "append messages to sent folder" are both turned on in the "Edit Account" window.
    Unit is a blackberry classic running 10.3

    If they are appearing in gmail then your problem is most likely with Thunderbird, not the Classic. Make sure the account in Thunderbird is using IMAP and not POP.

    I realise you might have meant "gmail sent mail" on the Classic - if this is the case, and if you haven't already done do, please check your gmail webmail and see if the messages are appearing in sent items on the web interface.
