In the old Blackberry Bold 9900 one could go into favorite contacts and just type a name which it would go straight to. I can not seem to do that in the new Classic. Meaning I can not go straight to the name unless I scroll all the way down.

Type S (which is the shortcut for search) and then type the name you want to choose.

Thanks. Much appreciated. Have another question. In Facebook Messenger when you have the predictive text / spelling on, and you are typing a message, it hides the message for some strange reason, and you have to keep scrolling to go back to it. Sorry for the bother, is quite different to the Bold 9900. This does not happen when I am typing a text message or BBM, Whatsapp etc.

I think that has been fixed with the new update.

Is there any way to disable the lock screen and still have a time-out function so that the screen goes off. Becomes very irritating to keep having to swipe to unlock the screen. Again many thanks in advance.
