My classic stopped getting new whatsapp messages today. And it's no being able to send messages either.
Guess that's the end of whatsapp for BlackBerry classic. I was expecting it to last till 30th of June though.
Thankfully I had invested on a priv and the transition was smooth!!

Did you check in BBW if you have the latest app version? Give it a try, if you did not.

I deleted the app and reloaded from bbw and it started to work again. moved my account to another number and deleted the account connected to old device.
I suggest you guys also do it well in time as when it stops working completely it doesn't even give u the option to move to another number. u can't even delete ur account. ur contacts will continue to send messages in ur old phone which won't be responding.

Had the same issue: refused to change number as it claimed WA version would expire June 30 and it was June 11th (so what I thought)
Anyway, following workaround did the trick. I activated the old number in android WA. Then in android WA did a number change. Then when started, BlackBerry WA had to do a confirmation which I did with the new number.
After that BlackBerry WA just worked with the new number and all history was still there.
