And, what market share are non-keyboard BB's commanding?
Isn't the fact that we are BlackBerry users proof enough that we don't care about what other people use??? :-)
In my opinion, the main reason for all these passionate arguments about which BB device is better is that we all care about survival of BB and want it to come up with devices that not only are great, but also help it gain a larger market share. That in turn will allow us to enjoy the options (various BB models) for a long time to come!
Having said that, and getting back to the topic, I think Classic provides the best combination of functionality and form factor. Basically, the ultimate tool. I don't know about you all, but I have already preordered mine!
If by "accuracy" Najo is referring to pointing precision, you might consider the relevance of that precision to be "opinion" but the pixel sized pointer tip of my 9900's cursor arrow occupies roughly 0.001 square inch of screenestate. My 3/4" wide finger tip covers at least 0.5 square inches of screenestate. Using those numbers, my finger is 500% LESS precise than the trackpad's curser tip. Arguing this mathematical reality is a matter of "opinion" is like arguing a sledgehammer is as precise as a scalpel. The relevance of that difference in precision is certainly debatable but the relative precision is simple mathematical fact... In my OPINION. ;)
Also, IMO, because of that mathematical disparity, trackpad mitigates the "need" for acres of screenestate. Which is why my 9900's relatively tiny screen is still working just fine for MANY of us. I used a Z10 for 9 months. Try editing 100 spreadsheet cells with your Z. Now go do that every day for 9 months and then see where your opinions fall. Not that consumers have any need for editing 100 cells per day but is BB a consumer or a business device? Once again, i personally feel that the "anti belt" crowd is still locked into 2012 thinking. That thinking resulted in 2013 results, IMO. PKB's will eat up screenestate. Trackpad helps mitigate that loss. Selling a PKB Q10 without that mitigating feature was a disastrous mistake, in my OPINION. ;)
#1 reason for buying Classic? The physical "End" key. #2 reason? The TrackPad!! :)
My opinion, based on years of experience using trackballs/trackpads, and almost two years experience using a touchscreen. This isn't based on the size of my fingertip, but how precisely I can use it. It's my opinion, relax and enjoy your own.
You want a trackpad on BB10, and so long as it doesn't lose money for BlackBerry, I'm totally down with it. :)
I wouldn't say that. Larger keys, stereo speakers, slimport connector, larger battery, larger display, LCD panel, improved radio reception.
Yep, size doesn't always matter... relevance of "precision" is relative. ;) Also agree, BBRY can't afford to loose money on ANYthing. No room for red. We surely share the long term hope that BBRY can one day grab a bite of the profitable consumer market. Till then, niche is their reality. A reality some of us will be happy to spend money on...FINALLY! :)

Wait! What?
Because I WANT it!
The return of the keyboard shortcuts!

I would also like to say too! For all of the current non os10 users! Once you switch to the new os10,it will still take a bit to get adjusted to the tap, swipe, and flick motions alongside using the classic keys above the 4 row keyboard!

Help me out, gentlemen. Passport or Classic? I will buy a new device next month!
Toolbelt, but the handy very big :(
Buy both

The power of the tool belt combined with the flick tap and swipe motion in os 10 translates to: POWER!!!

Main reason to buy it? B.c I alrdy have an iphone for my personal phone. Don't want to carry two huge phones. Work phone is the Q10. Classic will replace the Q10 when the prices of classics aren't at inflated prices

spotted ! :d
Do I know you? Lol

Because you want it...

Well, it seems like users do want the tool belt... all pre-orders are sold out... wow!
Posted via CB10
The tool belt..end call key..call end touch key sucks ...trackpad lends one hand operability..besides the look of it is awesome and refreshing

it's the closest thing we have now to a 'modern Bold 9900'
This is a test by blackberry, to see if this baby sells well... and you can bet your life on it that Blackberry will make a classic 2 a Q20 and other future track-pad devices.
Remember guys.... they still need to make a Q20 because this classic is it's own series now
Classic
Classic II
Classic III
Q10
Q20
Q30
Z3
Z10
Z30
Z50
Passport
Passport II
Lots of phones coming in the future! things are looking good for BLACKBERRY!
Forgive me but I thought BlackBerry's annual product lines showed that the Classic is part of the Q (for QWERTY) line, which would make the Classic, and not a rumored Q20, the Q10 successor.

Because you want it.

It was started out as a Q20, but then chen called it a 'classic' and now it's a classic... unless it's known as a Q20 via model information, this phone is no Q10 successor .
Thats why you see many people on here keep calling it a Q20 lol idiots.
Blackberry could if they wanted make a Q20 now, which is the sequel to a Q10, while the next classic will no doubt be called Classic 2?
Q for QWERTY? not really man, it doesn't mean that at all. (just a new model they have a new name)
Because it is the only game in town if you want a one handed "classic" BlackBerry. We can all agree that the next phone should be an all touch model. There is not a huge market for the Classic but neither is there one for a Z model. It is about choice and if I was getting a company phone and my company wanted me to get a BlackBerry I would like the choice to include an all touch model. Personally, I think that I can get by without a PKB and I do very well without a track pad. I do however appreciate having the option of purchasing a Classic. This is what the Q10 should have been - a 3.5 inch screen is the bare minimum for any device with out a track pad.
This new hybrid device ( slider) is welcome too. The goal is to sell each device at a profit .
