I am going to buy one now but what's the max SD card that would work in it?

As far as we know, 128GB, but provided the technology used does not change, it should handle everything SDXC.

so are you sue it can take 128GB and not 64GB only?

    It should be able to
The Q10 takes a 128 GB and since the Classic uses the same internals, it should also be able to take it

Yes, yes I am. Quite sure.

I'm deeply offended by your questioning of my surenessless on the matter.

    128Gig.

Be sure to keep a return receipt as there has been a few reported compatibility issues with some SD cards.

    I use a 64Gig with zero issues.

I had thought that 256GB was the maximum, however apparently up to "the exFAT file system limit": Supported MicroSD media card storage sizes for use with BlackBerry smartphones

But SHOULD I instal the largest card available? Will a very large card possibly slow down the system? Phone seemed to restart more slowly even with the 128GB card installed; is it worth to instal the 256GB card?

Also, should I get the fastest card available, or are there other bottlenecks that diminish returns?

In theory you can use a 2 TB card although these don’t exist at present!

The size of the card shouldn’t make any difference to the performance of the phone once the OS has scanned and indexed it.

I had a 200GB card in my BB10 phones and the only time it made the phone slow was when I swapped it from one phone to another and it had to be re-scanned.
