I am using the Q10 and I am missing the 'tool belt' but I am still very satisfied with my Q10 and it was a step forward from my bold 9900.

The Q10 is a sexy looking phone but the bold 9900 was HOT! My biggest concern is that BlackBerry makes an unsexy phone like the Q5...

Dear BlackBerry, please make the Q20 hot looking like the good old Bold 9900!!!! Perhaps you could also bring the curved keyboard back?!?

When I first saw the Q10 I thought it was painfully ugly because I really thought it needed the belt.

Now I can't imagine a Q10 with a belt. Least of all with a curved keyboard.

I guess what puzzles me with the q20 is the target market. On the face of it, it's purely bb legacy users. Can't see it attracting many android /iPhone users. So is the objective just to safeguard the legacy customer base, switch them to bb10 and then drop BBOS?

Going by their numbering system, the Q20 should be a "premium" device like the Q10. If it was meant to be an affordable or cheaper device like the Q5 they would have named it something below 10. Kind of how the Z3 is the lower end version of a Z10.

It will be a classic device. It could be premium to you or many people because the specs will be better than the Q10. But it is not categorized as a high end device.

Oh and the Z3 contains a better gpu and battery life. Kinda funny for a lower end device.

That's exactly what it is for.

I am probably in the minority here with regards to the looks of the Q10 vs Q5 but to me, the Q10 has the classic Blackberry look and definitely is derived from the 9900's looks whereas I see the Q5 as being more modern and clean.

With regards to the Q20, I only hope they make the 3.5" screen a 4:3 design to accommodate better video and game viewing. Something with the dimensions of 2.25" by 3.0" would be great. No more 1:1 please!

Logic tells me the Q20 will be 1:1 but the Q30 will be 4:3. You can't have a belt and not be 1:1

You can't have a large screen and belt.... that would be ridiculous. the high-end Q30 or whatever it will be called will have the larger screen.

Agreed. I will probably grab a Q20 and a Q30 (or whatever it will be called).

Time time time. Never ignore the time. It's low end for today's standards even if some things are somewhat better than last year's standards.

concerning the subject of size: the Q20 should in no way be bigger than the Q10... I don't think BlackBerry users appreciate huge phones...

Perhaps you don't. But there are PLENTY of users out there, myself included, who love their Q10's but would like a little more screen real estate.
