Several things....
- In relation to a BlackBerry device, the radio is the hardware that allows the device to access the cell network, WiFi, Bluetooth, and FM (if applicable) signals.
- In relation to BlackBerry operating system, it is the part of the software that runs the radio hardware.
- In relation to general electronics, it is a device that can receive and/or broadcast radio waves.
