    That too is my concern.

I've but sold all my BlackBerry devices recently. I still have my beloved Q10 and just one Classic (the one I'm using now). I'll wait for the Passport Silver edition to drop more in price then get one.. strange I saw that, considering I had a Passport and sold it!!

Anyways, I too can not see myself owning a iPhone or an Android device.

Just looking at my Classic now and seeing the notification light flash makes me love this little beast even more.

Just so you know, there are a few Androids, including the Priv, that DO offer LED notifications...

But are they as good as BlackBerry offerings?

I've seen a few on the Samsung range and that was just a faint "bluish" light!

The Priv has excellent LED notifications. Every bit as good.

The Priv LED are the same as any other phone. Notification comes in, the light blinks.

Priv's LED notifications are actually pretty in line with BlackBerry's, I can't complain here on that level... Elsewhere, yea, but the LED on the Priv is on par with other BlackBerry devices...

That's surprising. I've never heard that complaint about the note 5. I've found my Android devices and BB devices handle contacts about the same.
Not with large data bases stored on multiple services.

Like I said I've never heard that complaint before. I've only heard people even mention contacts on a mobile OS when BB10 users complained about double entries. I had that issue. But I've also never met someone with large databases of thousands of contacts backed up on multiple services. So, good luck. I hope you're always able to find a mobile OS that handles your contacts the way you prefer.

Nor will a zombie, unless you destroy its body, but...
Anyhow, if you already have them on line, do they plan to "enhance" the android capabilities of BB10 OS? (like adding g-play store and services, and proper hub integration?) cause that would solve the whole app-gapp stuff...

I don't feel abandoned by BlackBerry. My devices do what I want and do not do what I don't want. Which right there is more than I could say for android. The time to move on is when you are unhappy with what you have.

People who won't be caught dead using a BlackBerry are just funny people. If they have never tried one there is nothing to say, they may try one if they see one in action someday.
Took the words out of my mouth.

I get all that and have espoused the same party line for years. Check my posts.

My issue is that all we are getting now from BlackBerry is lip-service. No new versions of BB10 released (or leaked) in a while; no new devices predicted. Only more hardware for Android. In my opinion there are already too many Android phones out there. If BlackBerry loyalists are to remain loyal, there needs to be some movement; not just talk.

If they could have done that, they would have never had to go Android.

OHA rules are pretty clear: no Google Play Services or Google apps unless you are running a 100% compatible pure Android device.

As a consequence of selling Android device(s), they can no longer develop the Android Runtime on BB10. BlackBerry has officially announced no change to it in 10.3.3.

Thats really a shame, if that would have happened, I would have gone and bought another PP, this time SE. As it is now, I will stay with my PP OG and wait for a miracle a.k.a. passport 2 with android and any other living OS, could be linux, for all I care.
    Thanks for letting me know.

They have a reply that you dont consider legitimate. Which does not make it "not legitimate".
For example not enought apps is a perfect answer for that, expecially in that prize range. Security is important, but if you want use more than mails, sms and linkedin, you have to fight your own phone. In my case, ssh connection to servers with a port tunneling. I still havent figured it out.

Most people who are anti-bb remember using or seeing a friend using BB4.5 competed to a friend's spanking new, just released iPhone. So many are actually objecting to a contrast that no longer exists.

I completely agree. Everyone remembers the old way BlackBerry phones used to be, not the way they are now. It's really unfair how BlackBerry phones gets a bad rap.

I dont see them getting any rap at all, at least none in europe. Maybe thats why they have fallen from grace.
Apparently there is no marketing here at all.
