Quite astonished how disposable phones have become.

I had my Pre 3 for 4 years and it's till now I replaced it.
I agree. If you think about it phones would be used a lot longer than they are and they are certainly built for it. However I get numerous phones each year and continue to waste money. But I do enjoy playing with the latest and greatest. I seriously need to pick one device and use it to get my moneys worth. It is my every hope the q10 will work nicely for that especially since I use my laptop for everything media related anyway.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Honestly if it were coming this week I should have heard something about it. I work for a premium retailer as am inventory manager.
Maybe not... as I'm not sure "retailers" will have the Classic in their lineup. I know in my area the Z10 and Q10 were only available at corporate stores at launch, and they later they were only available via overnight delivery. So it is possible that in the US, most of the Authorized Retailers out there many never see the Classic.

I'm very interested in the supposed non-camera version of the Blackberry Classic. If it's anything like the non-camera 9930, it will only be available on Verizon's website.

That's nothing. I think the Pre3 was something like 6 months. And the week before they cancelled it. By It I mean Palm. The company.

If Verizon brings the Classic in those white/blue/bronze color choices, I might just stick with them. Was going to jump ship to AT&T next month.

Careful Twitter shut 4 of my accounts down when I bashed ATT last summer. Had to start over.

I think it's either something you said, or it's AT&T filing abuse complaints.

I've been constantly bashing Bell, Rogers and GM (Canada) with my Twitter account, never been banned.

I've been bashing AT&T on Twitter ever since the Passport release using ATT direct @ and I'm still on twitter. Just search #WeWantThePassport and #BlackberryPassport on twitter. Should see a bunch of postings.

Abused TW used 4 accounts so get my point across. This happened last summer when I put a Z10 on contract and they increased my monthly bill $25 per month for 2 years. So I'm paying $600 for the Z10 when it was worth only $200-300. This is in addition to the phone and data plan. Was not told on the phone about the $25/mo only told about paying $35 more for the phone add to my share plan.

They would not take the Z10 back because I didn't discover this until my billing. Over 30 days

Interestingly, the only BlackBerry phones on Verizon's website as of this post are Z30 and Z10. They have removed the Q10 and Bold 9930...

Stopped by ATT today to finally see a Classic and check out their plans. Best deal: Buy a Classic unlocked from BlackBerry and fire it up on the ATT GoPhone plan for $60: 4gigs of data, unlimited everything else.

Verizon contract is up in April and if I wasn't intrigued by the Classic "colors" that will supposedly be coming, I'd order a new Classic today.

Where did you check out the classic? I che ked them out today at att in nyc and I found the classic very slow esp when web browsing. I'm assuming it's the service and not the device but the passport next to it didn't have that issue.

    You have the same problem?

Unfortunately when Crackberry posts a "news" article it will likely be a VZW press release just off embargo. Seems like there should be a little more journalism from CB delving into why BlackBerry has no traction with US carriers, what are potential issues and challenges to seeing the new berries in what is still the most important market in the world. Corporate or consumer if the "tier 1" carriers stop distributing BlackBerry it will continue to fall into irrelevance.

Without access to devices even corporate users will fade away by pure attrition and churn. There really should be a properly researched and hard driving news article about the real state of affairs between BlackBerry and the US market leading carriers.

What it would most likely reveal is the "illegal Apple Contracts" it has with the US telcos preventing competition...

Anyone know what LTE bands the Verizon Classic will be having? I'm hoping it has Band 4 LTE as my trusty VZW Z30 has. I'm intrigued with the idea of moving to a camera-less Classic.
