Does anyone know if the Classic's trackpad will let one follow a link in the browser without touching it - e.g. point & "click"?

In general, is there is a good description somewhere of what exactly it will do?

It is not what we want.

People have been waiting for a phone with a trackpad, that's functional and not ornamental.

If you are asking if there is a trackpad controllable and usable cursor in the browser, the answer is yes.

Sorry but I've never had an older bbos device, and contrary to my expectations you can't use the passport touchkeyboard to select links. Anyhow good to know this will work on classic, and hopefully the question in the title will make it easier for people to search for this later (I did try to search for answer to this before posting and couldn't find anything).

You can use the trackpad as a pointer in the browser. To click links you need to hold Alt and then click the trackpad.

How do you know this? And why would you need to hold down the alt key? That seems pointless and. Needless step.

Doubt highly Alt key is needed, that would be silly.

    "Silly" is putting it nicely.

Not to mention that it would totally ruin the ability to use the phone with one hand.

Can you imagine trying to click on the alt and the touchpad at the same time?
