Does the phone have the AT&T logo on the back? SQC100-4 is the wrong model number for AT&T, I believe they're model is SQC100-2. Though the - 4 model is compatible.

Kind of strange the person you bought it from doesn't know the carrier.

    You could try contacting @BlackberryCodeSource

They offer a discount for unlocking to CrackBerry members.

All my -4's came unlocked from Blackberry. You sure your carrier isn't the one who is holding you hostage? ATT is the -2.

    Hey gfarcas,

It is always easier if you know the original network.

If not it is still possible to unlock with the worldwide method that unlocks based on only the IMEI# but it takes 4-9 business days to unlock (usually 9 days)
If you need help and want to unlock Pm me and we can help.

also mrfreeze is correct, does the phone have any AT&t logo's if not what happens when you insert a simcard from another network and turn it on, does it ask for the unlock code?

I bought an SQC100-4 off ebay that I was told was locked to Telus, however I think that was incorrect. I used an unlocking service and they had to use the worldwide method mentioned above. It took about a week, but it worked!

the phone doesn't have any carrier logo's and no carrier bloatware , when I insert a Sim i get a message :"Network is locked. Please contact your service provider". Bought the phone in New Zealand and the person who sold it doesn't know the original network .Might be still on a contract period but I don't know how to find that out .Thanks

I want to unlock my classic. My provider is French ORANGE. They do not have the code, but have contacted BlackBerry to receive the code. Weeks ago. I am still waiting. Any other method to unblock my device? I have the IMEI number. Thanks.

I used the PRD number for my q10 when I needed to unlock it and didn't know the original carrier. Through searching online I found 3 carriers that used that PRD number for their phones and went with the largest one (Bell) and that worked for me.
