It's really unfortunate that many of the big names have completely abandoned manufacturing cases for new BlackBerry products! For example, Otterbox no longer makes new for anything, once they sold out, done...

The case I would particularly be interested in is a Case-Mate Olo Tough case (silicon skin with ABS outer shell)... I love those cases because your phone is always open and it is absolutely the best type of case to keep your phone mint. Anything hard touching the phone can have debris caught between the case and phone which will result in wear (in my experience).

The hard shell from BB resulted in showing some wear on the piano black trim at the top of the screen and I took it off and never allowed it back on. It's very fine, but looking in the light, it is visible.. Would hate to know what it would look like in a year.

Now I have the Stilgut case and that is still leaving some marks, so I am going naked now and being careful, but I would love a dual layer silicon case!

I am in mechanical engineering and can for sure design this type of case using SolidWorks, local manufacturers and listing online...hmmmm

The situation is an absolute Joke! I'm in Singapore which had an official launch, and up until now BlackBerry themselves don't have any cases. I'm particular about my devises but got a few marks on it already

Here in Germany we have some ebay sellers already offering your generic el-cheapo cases for the Classic, mostly those soft/silicon type of cases. The OEM soft shell has yet to arrive from what I have seen (also I haven't really looked for it either) and the OEM pocket pouch is already available.
Pretty sure some other manufacturers will jump on the Classic train in the coming weeks.

I was able to buy a OEM leather case right before xmas just a week after launch from Amazon DE even before my new Classic arrived on 31.Dec even the original sync pod for it arrived 1st week in January.
That's as far BlackBerry made this stuff available in Germany.

BlackBerry shop Germany is sold out with the sync pod.

My guess is that the aftermarket gear will kick in as soon a decent amount of devices are around and in use by a few more user's

I have the classic soft shell case. Not that impressed with it. Main problem is can't easily press power button with it on. Volume keys work and click fine but power button needs pressed with finger nail. Disappointing

Here is a picture of a soft case I purchased from ebay. I don't carry a wallet and have not done so for about 4 years because my previous phone cases had card holders. I made a cut out to insert my license ID card and my favorite credit card. I am hoping that a reputable case manufacturer makes a case for the Classic with card holder. Then again that is why I made mine with an exacto knife

Some people want protection on the phone although I can agree that going naked is sexier. I want the protection plus functionality (of carrying my cards)

Anyone purchase the Incipio DualPro Shine case? Would love to see close-up photos of this. Only thing is that the inner lining is TPU vs Silicon which in my opinion is better as more forgiving when dust gets between the phone and case (wear prevention). I love the dual layer cases and agree a naked phone is beautiful, but I also love having the phone always open (no flip or pocket) and being about to be rougher with it

It's protected while it's in the holster. While it's out of the holster, it's protected by you not being clumsy. ;-)

I've got the incipio dual case. It fits well and most certainly offers solid protection.....but it also completely covers the beauty of the device as well as obliterates the feel of the classic. As well the nice compact handset becomes noticeably bulkier as you might expect. I'll use this case when I travel to minimize wear and tear but back to my oem holster when not on the road.

Just ordered this a couple days ago. It'll look really nice with a white classic (whenever that happens -_- ) but Will do nicely until some better options come out.
