fine. turned wifi off.
now when i plug it in (USB), Link just says "disconnected".
tried rebooting... no love.
what gives?

If you backing up to laptop reboot the laptop same time you reboot the phone. Put on a level surface. Ensure the USB connection is stable and not shaking. Had this happened to me a few times. Its usually due to the USB not be steady or properly set.
rebooted 'puter.
still nothing.
positive USB is secure.

It is simply not recognizing your phone. Nothing to be alarmed about. Happened to me several times. Another thing you may want to try whihc i also tried before. Deinstall the current BBlink, download and reinstall it .
I've had to do the same thing: uninstall Link, reboot, then reinstall. I think somehow the drivers get screwed, but I've never resolved the problem. After a reinstall, I can backup, but next day it doesn't work again. Have to uninstall/reinstall.
Thought it night be the version of BB10, but since I got the latest release, its just been the same.
Would love a permanent fix for this. Blend works flawlessly though!

ok.
help me out here...
uninstalled/restarted. still nothing (just using a different USB port this time).
started blend. it's trying to make a connection 10 minutes later, stuck on "connect your device to your computer using a USB cable".
1. it's a brand new phone/cable.
2. as soon as i plug it in, the folder comes up displaying the contents of the SD card.
it can't be the cable, right?
ok, also tried yet another cable.
no love.
it's a software problem.
Do the following.
1. download a new version of bblink from blackberry website
2. uninstall the current bblink you have installed.
3. reboot your system to complete the uninstall.
4. then install the new version u downloaded.
5. try it again.
