So I bought a new classic and the trackpad seems to have a mind of its own and clicks random things. It's difficult to type or use the browser with it. Anybody know a fix? I restored the o.s too by the way. I feel the device itself is a dud because I've had many other issues too.

The trackpad definitely does not have a mind of its own. What it does have is a sensitivity issue out of the box. So you need to reduce the trackpad scroll sensitivity:

    - settings
    - language and input
    - trackpad sensitivity

Once there, decrease both the vertical and horizontal sensitivity and you will find the trackpad much easier to use.

The Classic is also not a 'dud'. It's a really good device. So, if you are having some issues, perhaps the best thing to do is to exchange it, just like you would with anything you purchase. The vast majority of Classics are perfect and work very well.

I have had the Classic for a while now and I can say it is a great device. I have zero issues with it.

Don't get me wrong I absolutely love it. Also, I turned the sensitivity all the way down before posting this to no avail. It seems to be having all kinds of issues. The SD card driver wouldn't download either with two different cards. I'll probably just exchange as this one in particular is nothing but issues. That's what I meant when I said "dud." Just my model in particular.
