I just recently got a blue classic to replace my iphone 6 as my primary phone. I am thinking about picking up another (probably in white). I've owned a few blackberry devices in the past (8703e, curve 8300, 8800, bold 9000 and 9900). I quickly fell back in love with this format -- in particular the tool belt and track pad.

Has anyone else purchased a back up just in case?

I moved to a classic following a disastrous experience with 2 Q10s. Both Q10s had problems with the Charging Port.

If i wasn't planning on moving over to a BBRY Android phone, would consider a backup. Great Phone.

I'm still getting used to my black one, but if and when the price comes down, I wouldn't mind picking up a white and blue one.

I got this one from a friend barley used (he has a passport and priv -- and only used the classic about a month) for $270. I am trying to get a like new white one around that price point.

I had the Q10 and although it was a nice phone I missed the track pad on a BlackBerry and the battery life was about the same as my iphone 5s. I wish the classic had a removable battery and a glass weave back but that's just nit picking. Overall this is my favorite device since the bold 9000.

Thought of getting a back up when prices hit rock bottom....or a really good looking used one.

Still have my fingers crossed for that bronze one ;-)

If the bronze one happens I am buying -- at full retail if I have too.

I picked up an Amazon Warehouse Deal for 178. Only thing wrong was the packaging. Nothing wrong with the phone at all.

How do you get notified of such deals? Or do you just have to check amazon periodically. Because -- at that price I would buy 2 more.

I honestly looked up BlackBerry classic and just look under used. Seller should be Amazon Warehouse. I then click the description to see what's wrong with the actual item. Sometimes they have nicks and sometimes the packaging is just messed up.

I was skeptical because the black used one was 177 but the White and Blue one were like 275. I honestly thought they weren't going to send me the right phone.

Just bought blue extra with 15% off code (blue $322) from shopBB. Thx for heads up. Tried Priv and really did not like. Too many issues. Stocking up on BB10 devices as I have a feeling they will go the way of my HP Pre.

    Go for it!
doing the very same thing, getting another Classic in April, but a PP next week as well.
My 1st Classic is still in perfect condition even after 13 month of continues use, no scratches on the screen, never had a screen protector, but having a spare Classic at hand, nothing wrong with that.

Using the Classic as daily driver with a flat rate call+data-SIM and going to use the Passport with a data-SIM only as a sort of mini-tablet, both devices in conjunction.
