    I tried downloading uber from the website but it doesn't seem to be available on the Classic. Anyone know how to get it?

    Only the Android version and even then, you'll be lucky if it loads due to the maps it uses. You can try patching it but the recent versions don't seem to work even when patched. - http://forums.crackberry.com/android...g-page-965257/

    Was on a recent business trip in chicago and this did not work for me. Everything worked fine until I went to set pickup, and I received an error stating I didn't have permission.

    Did you email Uber to obtain permission first?

    You gotta acquire permission to use their mobile site

    So just to clarify does Uber only work on the larger screen blackberries? Why does it work for some and not all if they all run the same os? (unless they don't all run the same os}

    They don't work at all on BBs. U have to use the website & from personal experience, it works. Just have to get permission from Uber Help

    Make a shortcut to launch m.uber.com from the Home Screen and it works just like the regular app. It used to just work automatically, but now you have to send a request to Uber support to activate your account for the mobile version for some reason. You only have to do so once; then it continues to work. It works very well --- basically as smooth and seamless as the standalone app version. The only very minor problem I've encountered is that if you move off the webpage before your Uber arrives, and then switch focus back to the webpage, the URL bar at the bottom will cover the Uber's license plate number by default.
