Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone has heard if Telus is going to carry the classic? I haven't found anything on their site about it and I am starting to get a bit nervous

Without a doubt they will carry it, they have supported BB the most out of the big 3 in Canada.

All I heard in Canada was Rogers and Virgin mobile will carry .

Rogers and Virgin have started their preorders but I don't think this means the other carriers aren't going to carry it.

Like tony already said, Telus has been good with supporting BlackBerry. They will have it.

The thing I didn't like what Telus did when the Passport was first launched was price the device at $750.00 then a few days later drop the price to $700.00. I hope they don't do that with the Classic ,i did get a credit but only due to me calling them and asking about it. If it's going to be $499.00 do so and leave it, unless they decide to sell it lower that would a nice ,my bet is they will take orders on launch date just like they did with the Passport. cant see Telus not wanting to climb on board with this Classic.

Carriers usually always price handsets higher than the MSRP.

Telus will definitely carry it the day it's launched
It's had the exclusive with BB since the beginning
They would always get more devices earlier than other carriers
The pricing, well, that's another issue that I don't care to discuss

I was just in my local Telus store playing around with the Passport and I asked the manager and she said they will have it for sure.

And I talked to one representative yesterday and he said that he did not know if they will carry it. Also said that he will only know at the launch date.

Yes they will carry it. I have confirmed it with several telus reps. They are expecting it to be a pretty substantial seller. They are pleased with the success of the Passport.
