3,5" 1440x1440? Um, no...

I disagree with the camera, I would like a better unit with optical image stabilization, but it doesn't look likely, but would be nice. Everything else, I agree, I don't need them to go crazy with specs, as long as it's a bit of an upgrade from the Q10... The battery I would like to be more too.

I'm interested in physical dimensions. I would say it will be near SGS4 which is little bigger than I would like but acceptable.
A top of the line Camera and flash system would do well.
The standard 8MP is perfectly fine. You don't want to drive up the costs and scare buyers away, right?
The Classic is by no means a "Flagship" device. So it's best not to expect flagship specs.

I think the specs of Classic will be :
Screen Resolution: 720 x 720 with 3,5" screen size
RAM: 2GB RAM
Processor: 1.7 GHz dual-core (that's good)
Graphics Card: Adreno 306 GPU
Battery: 2600/2800 MAH
Camera: 8MP (Rear) 2MP (Front) with LED Flash (Maybe 10MP because they want better specs of Q10)
WLAN: Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n
Bluetooh 3.0/4.0 LE

You would be happy with 2012 specs???

My guess is it's utilising the same Snapdragon S4 as is present in the Q10/Z10...

I hope not, I'm interested in picking up a Classic, but I want it to be an actual upgrade from the Q10. If it is still the same hardware specs, they better launch it at a dirt cheap price or I will lose all interest and that would be a shame.
Could be wrong but didn't J Chen SAY the Q20 would be a "flagship" model?
i thought i read that as well. i know i read that it would a premium model

No, you won't be wrong.. but you won't be right either!
As for assuming, everything I said above about what Chen said is verifiable if you are willing to Google it. Plus the silence on the Classic's specs of course!
All else is, as I remarked above, logical extrapolations from available data. I've seen this sort of thing too many times... and I was usually correct on those occasions too. We'll see. Cheers!
Yeah I'm also pretty sure Chen said the Q20 , aka Classic, would be a premium/flagship model. I'll look more into that when I get the time!
How about 13mp cam, 3450 batt, if it's premo then must be a nice upgrade to keep up with competition
Q10 with Telus on 10.3.0.296
Idssteve and th.1977 youse are correct, Blackberry in an official press release on 2/25/2014 at the Mobile World Congress did indeed say that the Q20 will be a flagship device! Now if it has a removable battery...
Um... considering that all I'm saying is that one doesn't necessarily mean the other, I'm already right... Because it's true... It doesn't imply an opinion one way or another about what the specs turn out to be. I'm merely stating a simple fact...

My dear sir. , in light of my prior post and what Chen said on the record, you are certainly implying that the Classic ( aka Q20) will not be a flagship model.
As I said in a previous post, OEMS such as Blackberry do not use premium materials on midrange devices. Moreover, it seems, after a bit of further research , that Blackberry did indeed say at the MWC that the Q20 aka Classic will be a flagship model. If you want to look it up, it was an official press release on2/25/2014.
Here is my comment: "I appreciate your enthusiasm and your optimism, but unfortunately "premium materials" doesn't really mean technical specs. All that really means is that they will probably be using the same milled stainless steel frame/bezel as the Q10 instead of making it out of plastic like the Q5 or Z3... "
Please enlighten me where in there did I make any statement about what specs I think it will have. Thanks.
Guys Remember this is a phone for business customers, so BlackBerry won't focus on camera!
Another point is crucial: battery life
I so hope they pack a 3500+ maH battery AND a OLED Display (No LCD)!
I don't give a damn about the thickness of the device it can be as thick as a brick i don't care as long as it keeps me running all day(s)!
First picture gives me hope: it actually looks thick and heavy in JCs hands!

I said imply, not make a statement. And AFAIG your point is true. And I note that you ignore all proof that it is a flagship model..
Yes it does. Plus if you compare the Classic to the Passport they are remarkably similar in size ; the Classic is bit more narrow is all.
The term "flagship" can mean a lot of things. Especially to the Navy... ;) It'll be interesting to see just how JC defines the term. Unlike his predecessor, Mr Chen still commands the benefit of my doubt, at this point. We'll know this fall...
In the above photo, has anyone identified the two discolorations at the bottom, on either side of the usb port?
That's the two speakers.
