Can I buy a new unlocked BlackBerry phone such as the curve or bold, and transfer my classic SIM? Or no, because the Classic is 4G

You'd need a SIM card adapter for the aforementioned reasons stated by Thurask... Also, be advised that while some steps can be taken to (semi-) circumvent it, BIS will ultimately need to be added to the legacy device of choice (i.e. If using a Curve, Bold,etc...) if you want the full functionality of the device as opposed to a scaled down experience...That can often be the tricky part... Locating a provider that is willing to open a new BIS data line... While a few carriers out there still support BIS, getting them to activate a new BIS line is next to impossible (at least if you are located within the US anyways, as I can't speak for the entire world, but know this to be true here...)
