Well, my phone experiment has ended and the Classic won. There were still spots where the Classic lost touch but it always picked back up earlier than my iPhone6 did. I am now convinced that where I live and use Verizon that the BB Classic is a more receptive and clearer phone.

Short texts are all good on the iphone for sure, but emails and serious stuff, its blackberry all the way, let's face it I simply won't even try to do work on the iphone (schedule meeting request, do work emails, conference calls) those I usually waited till I am at the office to do. But with the classic I use that instead

I wouldn't ditch an iPhone 6 for a Classic...ever. as much as I love my Classic, the iPhone 6 is a much, much more capable phone overall.

iPhone 4s and iPhone 5s maybe. But not 6

Not a very capable phone when it can't get signal. Classic's, PP & Z30's Paratek might be just what some folks need.

I'm jealous of you guys actually. I find reception on my classic terrible compared to my passport.
Is that with the same SIM card/carrier, and consistent at all times? I am with Telus, which generally has a great network signal in my area. But sometimes I notice the bar might fluctuate from 3-4 bars then to 5. But never had any issues whatsoever with dropped calls or line noise when making calls on the Classic, even with lower bars.

terminatorx, I wouldn't pay much attention to the number of bars on two different devices. I'd make actual calls from the same spot and see how they did. I remember reading somewhere that some company had tweaked the settings on their phone so to have it show more bars. Therefore the customer would "assume" better coverage. I don't think BB did that but make a few calls and see which actually works better. I wish I had looked and noted the bars on my 6 and Classic yesterday. I will next time I travel that way.

While true that the Z30 has all the capabilities, keep in mind that the 30 only has a couple of bands of LTE, which if I'm correct are the Verizon bands of LTE.

I keep it simple this way. I have a Passport with all the my essential things, keyboard, hub, security, etc and I have an ipad/6Plus combo for all the fluff that BlackBerry doesn't support at the moment.

I chose my classic over the iPhone 5 and 6 and never looked back. No complaints (not one) but I am not one to invest time in games or media, so that may be an important qualifier to consider.

I have to run two lines on two different carriers, as both 'major' carriers have bad days every now and again. So I run a classic and a 6+

The Passport on T-Mobile didn't work on 4G LTE, do you have LTE band on yours?

Some iPhone users still find it hard to accept that there is life beyond apple products.. my brother is one of them

I have been using iPhone for quite sometime from the launch of iPhone 5c. I currently have a iPhone 6plus but my urge to own a blackberry never died. I got a leap first but somehow the feel from bold days wanted me to have a phone with physical keyboard. So I went I got classic. Today my work phone is blackberry classic and iPhone 6plus is usually in my bag. I use it when I need to take pictures or use it for apps and personal emails. From the day I got my hands on classic I have become a fan of it. It's the best device around for work emails. The OS is so easy to use. Email management is perfect along with integration with calendar. To add cream to pie you have blackberry hub which let's to see all of your notifications in one window. And the best thing is you don't have to stop working on what you were doing. Just a swipe from left to right let's you see and you are back to your work. Switching between apps is so easy. Unlike iphone where you need to double press the button. Classic is meant to task masters who does not want fancy big screens and multimedia capabilities. It's a phone for work and work only. Size is just right to read emails on the go and respond.

So choose classic if you are heavily involved in messaging. It won't let you down.

Yep, Classic rocks. Closing programs, managing communications, and multitasking on an iPhone makes me want to pull my hair out. And typing? Just pray that autocorrect likes you that day.

I just left Android (Galaxy Note 4) for the Classic in order to simplify things, get back to the basics of a phone while still offering plenty of power and ease of use (to include a decent battery life); essentially breaking away from the "digital zombie" taboo and - couldn't be happier.
    Precious phone usage includes:
    iPhone 6
    Nexus 5
    iPhone 5S
    Galaxy S4
    iPhone 5
    Galaxy Note 2
    iPhone 4S

You can see the pattern, all the way back to the BlackBerry 9810 and the 9310. I'm glad to be back.

    I'd say do it.

William I think we both have similar histories,

    My list includes

    iPhone 6 and 6+
    HTC One M8
    Note 3 &4
    Galaxy S6 and S6 Active
    iPhone 5s
LG G2,G3,G4 still have the G2
    Note 4 Edge
    BlackBerry Z10, Z30, Bold 9900, pearl, curve
So many others I've lost track of... I hated the curve for work because of my hands but super productive.. I won't ever go back to iPhone or Android...

Here's the thing, iPhones WORK. And they work WELL. Especially if your thing is Apps and social networking and photography. Music? Apple Music is pretty cool. I like Spotify better, but Apple Music is a game-changer if you are an iPhone fan. I still have an iPhone 4s that I've had for years, and it is STILL supported fully and can run the latest iOS. Thus I have been trying the three free months of Apple Music.
There is good functionality, and if you are in the Apple mindset, then their architecture and GUI is something you like. ME? Not so much. I think the plastering of icons on home screens is very dated. I much prefer Android with their customization options and Widgets. Plus Android 4.4 is pretty cool. I have one as well. I've compared phones on a thousand different fronts and have come to the conclusion that for ME, I want a 9900 on BIS running my business. I want the Android for play and apps for banking and music. I need Amazon Prime Music app and Google Play Music, plus Spotify. The Berry is for work, and I love the way BIS operates with regard to Email, Text and BlackBerry Bridge with my Playbook. I'm a Dinosaur in that regard, and YOU OP, will be better off (probably) with the Classic and BB10. I have two lines for two different businesses anyway, so for me, carrying two phones is no big deal.

OP, if you have GSM, then get the Classic and swap out the SIM. You can always go back to iPhone, or stay with BlackBerry. Selling an iPhone on Craigslist or eBay is EASY! Everybody wants one, so it seems.

I'd ALWAYS give BlackBerry a try. It's a DIFFERENT kind of design with productivity in mind. And the BB10 phones try and get closer to being play phones as well.
