I found the Classic on T-mobile's website by using the search feature. A photo and description came up under the banner "Coming Soon". No mention of price. So much for new product promotion.

Big gigantic headline on crackberry front page: "May 13th."
BRING BACK AUDIO BOOST! -Posted from BlackBerry Classic
They said it will be available for purchase on the 13th, but that there will be an additional announcement today. I've been refreshing their news room page with my fingers crossed hoping that they have a LE pink Classic.
I knew about the 13th release date. My post's title was modified by someone once again to change the meaning, which is a real disservice to the person who posts.
I was able to find it out there today, but shipping is delayed with no quoted shipping date.
Checked at the local T-mobile store today; no Classic, no BlackBerry advertising. Clerk said "it's coming but we don't know when." That's our BlackBerry.
I called 611 on my Z10 and ordered the BlackBerry Classic. 0 down and 18 a month. I paid 20 bucks for overnight shipping and 40 in taxes.

I went to T-Mobile yesterday (5/13/2015) to purchase a phone plan and the Blackberry Classic was offered to me. I was told they had it in stock. I was about to purchase it, but then thought I'd wait to see if it would be released in any other color, and if not, just purchase it on Amazon for full price (which is nearly $100 cheaper than T-Mobile's price). I live in Texas though, so I don't know if retailer location would make a difference.
I just received my BlackBerry Classic. I just noticed it doesn't have any Tmobile branding.

Not even the box it came in? Are there any preload T-Mobile apps such as T-Mobile My account? What is the exact model that you received?

No T MOBILE branding on the box or on the Classic. Just a Tmobile sim Attachment 352952 (

Seems like BlackBerry just sold/gave T-Mobile some of their Shop BlackBerry inventory.

Thanks leojzueg. I'm wondering if I should just purchase form Amazon if there is no difference or advantage buying form T-Mobile.
The only advantage is 0 down and 18.33 a month. And being able to upgrade in 6 months

Check for software updates and also connect to Blackberry Link - then post what software model you have, apps etc

Thanks leojzueg. Do you know if the Classic you received from T-Mobile is unlocked?
I'm pretty sure it is.
My mom got the unlocked one from amazon, and my t-mobile one is in the same packaging and has the 30 day complimentary support paper from BlackBerry in it too. I've bought many BlackBerrys from t-mobile over the years, and none have ever had that.
There's no t-mobile branding and no My Account apps or any of that usual nonsense they usually preload onto their phones.

Sean,
Thanks for the response. Is there a way for you to confirm if your classic is unlocked?
Settings -> security -> simcard
"Unlocked" appears three places.

Attachment 353176 ClassicSQC100-4/10.3.1.2744 I guess the Classic from T-Mobile comes unlocked. I hope T-MOBILE offers the Passport soon.

Mine is definitely unlocked.
Though my unlocked red Passport has UMTS Operating bands capability of 1,2,4,5,6,8
And LTE bands 1,2,3,4,5,7,8,13,17,20
But my Classic is a little different, with the 8 band being missing from both UMTS and LTE, and instead of 20 for LTE, it's 25.

leojzueg - Thanks for the response.
I wonder if purchased from Blackberry or Amazon, will the same version build be installed as when purchased from T-Mobile?
