Is there a way to change the sensitivity on the classic? I found the setting to change the track pad but not screen. I can't hardly touch the damn thing and it initiates something. I'm about ready to take a hammer to it!

I'm pretty sure that a hammer will do the trick...

There have been a number of others that would like that feature... haven't seen an answer other than returning it for Service or Replacement. Some that have done so say that their new phones were better.

You can search google for CrackBerry BlackBerry Classic Screen Sensitivity... lots of hits, and maybe there is something in one that will help you. But I don't think there is any escreen setting that will allow you to change it.

Ya that's a real problem and it does seem to vary with temperature (which along with environment ties to how hard the phone is working). I bailed on my Q10 because my ear would hang up on people or dial while I was on the phone, so it's not just a sensitivity issue but a general touch screen implementation issue. My new classic has now started to do the same thing.
Control for this sort of thing is in there somewhere - it has to be, the touchscreen is returning much more data and noise than is needed so there is filtering going on. I can see why they don't want that control in the hands of the user but there should be a deep control setting that if you monkey with it you are on your own warranty wise, but at least you could gain more control.
I actually burst out laughing when I read the headline "we're a software company" from Chen. The hardware is actually great- the software and software implementation - not so much. I think they've hired some kindergarten coders of late. The security may be state of the art but the UX is getting worse by the day - and in this day an age there is just no excuse.
