A Limeridge Mall Rogers sales clerk in Hamilton Ontario had the demo model of the BlackBerry Classic under the counter. He let my wife and I hold it for a while. It is so nice.
This was also the first Rogers or cell phone shop that had a working Passport. I was excited playing with it for a bit, which was probably the reason he pulled out the Q20.
I can't wait for the launch.

Awesome classic coolness.
The sales clerk was really pumped about the BlackBerry Classic. Saying he expects it to be the top seller over Christmas based on pre orders and the amount they are getting in stock.
He also highlighted the device, by adding, the classic has Flash Built Into the browser, so no errors on web pages like with iPhone & Android phones. I told him that my leaked os 10.3.1.1154 doesn't have flash, but he claimed the working demo has confirmed flash. I wonder what os he's referring to, maybe confusing it with os 10.3.0.1418, but idk...
I only got a chance to snap a couple photos. But I am for sure getting two.. Black & White.. Hopefully White is out on launch day, or at least early 2015.

"feel wise".. is it similar to the Bold 9900 or does it have a new feel going for it? A year with my Z30 has me struggling to let go because I'm one of those people who when I find something, I hold onto it. Most BB users aren't like iPhone or Android users who "must" have the next device the company comes out with, BlackBerry is so different when it comes to this sort of thing (ex. BB 9900 or old Curve users still going strong). I cannot see myself going back after having a Z10 and Z30 over a two year period. Even when I had the Torch, it was a combination of "touch and QWERTY".. I really don't want to go back in terms of technology or looks, but hopefully in a year BlackBerry will have a new "Z" line?
P.S. you look comfortable holding the device ^_^ the future look is a nice one mate ;)

Like other BlackBerry users, I tend to stick with my daily driver for years. My wife & I had B&W 9900's for years, we got the Q10 in black at launched, and the white a month later, giving my parents our old 9900's.
The Classic feels more like a Q10 to me. The straight keyboard, frets, design, bigger keys, and most importantly the 1:1 screen.
I almost forgot the 9900 had a 4:3 screen. But the Classic feels more like a 9900 with the stainless steel rim, and tool belt. Maybe even the over all frame too.
The Passport felt way too roomy, both in screen real estate, and form factor. I have short stubby fingers, there is no way I'm reaching the Q or the W one handed on the Passport. Also, every time I'd naturally type, I go to press space, my thumb kept hitting the flat piece under the space bar. I doubt I would ever get used to it.
I do have a spare Z10 I use for testing apps. For me, I just can't type on glass. One or two words in and I already get frustrated. A few friends have Z30s, and I can feel the similarities with the Classic. Size and Build. With the Z30 seems more stylish, where the Classic more professional.
PS I do feel comfortable with my BlackBerry, it's my baby. Btw, that's my wife's knee, and finger...

I am conflicted.... Such a beautiful phone. I would get this hands down if the camera takes great pics.... But for pictures I might have to go with the passport. I really want to use an old school keyboard again. Loved my 9900, best typing/keyboatd experience I have had.

Oh, not your fault, OP did simply say demo unit which could mean a working demo unit. The only reason why I knew it was a "dummy" unit is because of the picture, it has that fake home screen with the "BlackBerry Classic" label on it. :-)

No there are apps under there they just put s blue square and covered them..

The large blue square is a new feature called "PermaPad" -- it's a permanent sticky note on your screen. It's all part of the "classic" feel, when you'd put a sticky note on your phone with reminders.
It can be disabled, but only with an app called "Note Be Gone" (has to be the BlackBerry App World version -- sideloading Android doesn't work!)
