I have been sticking to my 9900 since it came out.
As I strongly consider switching to the Classic, I have the following questions about what bb10:
1. Remember App - How to sync it with Outlook (either using link or wireless sync), ideally with native solutions
2. Remember App - I read in the forum some horror stories from people who transferred notes to Remember when switching to bb10: How to properly transfer Notes to Remember and keep only one Remember database that can be sync'ed (I don't classify my notes: I don't need folders)?
3. Wireless Sync - I use BIS: can the Classic wireless sync of contacts, notes,... with Outlook (in addition to calendar)?
4. Can my calls (in an out) appear in the Messages/E-Mail app? (Like in os7)
5. When switching to the Classic, should I use BIS vs. Exchange Sync (I use Exchange at work where we use Outlook 365, but we don't have BES)
You will be using Activesync over Exchange, it will take a little getting used to but after a week or two you'll adapt. There are a few things that take multiple steps that are more elegant in 7 but otherwise running 10.3.1 is great.
I can't speak to the specifics of the notes apps but they will all sync over the air.
Not sure if the Notes will sync - at least with Domino as a backend server, there's no syncing. But the remember app can be used as a client for Evernote, and they will sync with the Evernote server.
I am left with 2 questions:
- Will I be able to sync Remember Notes with Outlook (OTA or not) without using Evernote?
- Will I be able to sync contacts with Outlook OTA?
I have an outlook.com (hotmail) email that syncs contacts and calendar and email.
I also have and exchange work email that syncs "tasks" and "notes" via active sync. This depends on which exchange server version you have.
This is great news: is there any special set-up required or I just have to put your outlook365 account and hope that i use the right exchange serve version

Notes and tasks will require a separate 3rd party app. They may have fixed this with the upcoming 10.3.1.
I use companionlink to transfer notes and tasks.
Edit: if using 365 everything in outlook will sync incl notes and taskes. But for office this feature is not enabled in BlackBerry link yet!

On my outlook365 account I just put in the email address and password and chose what to sync and it did the rest.

I don't understand: you mean that put your outlook365 details on your blackberry or you have to put details on your outlook365.
If it's the latter : what do you mean by "on my outlook 365"?
Could you detail the process, please?
Thank you
You can use device switch app to transfer your notes. And even all your contacts and calendar entries in just a few minutes. BB10 is totally different from BBOS7

ActiveSync, which both your Outlook 365 account and your work account can make use of, will sync your email, Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes wirelessly.
That's provided your work place are using a version of Exchange no older than Exchange 2007.

You need to create account which supports active sync, then to synchronize your data - contacts, calendar and notes with it, then you have to set device to synchronize with this account. I'm syncing with corporate EAS and with Hotmail over EAS.

I don't understand: where should I create such an account? My job already provides me an email address that is hosted in an exchange server (not through BES). As my work email address is also my outlook365 account, I thought that i just had to set the device to synchronize with that account.
So, what do you mean by "need to create account which supports active sync"?

Since you already have two EAS accounts you don't need to do anything. Just set your device.

Actually, I am confused. Why 2 accounts? I was under the impression that I just need to set my device with my existing work email account. I only have one account: it is my work email account. I just want to take that work account (which seats on an Exchange server that I will access through BIS) to sync directly with my future bb10. I don't want to have a "mirror" account that will be used to OTA in the background. Is it what you are recommending?

All you have to do is add an account, select which type, and type your email address and password than select what options you want to sync
BB10 will pull all the server settings and mapping from the mail server for you automatically, no effort on your part required

Thank you: that leads to the $1 million question: will I have the option to choose "notes" and "contacts" as options to sync, assuming that my exchange server's version is 2007 or more recent?
