I am due for a hardware upgrade and was wondering how much better the battery is for the Classic compared to the Q5. Is it the same or better? Any real life experiences? Any issues I should be aware of before I get it?

Your Q5 has a 2180mAh battery, while the Classic has a 2515mAh.
So you can expect a bit of improvement there.
My Classic lasts, on average, 23 hours.

Both Devices run the same Processor and GPU
Both devices have the same screen resolution.
The Q5 has a 2,180mAh
The Classic has a 2,515mAh
While the Classic does have a larger screen than the Q5 I don't think it would affect the battery life that much. We talking a 300mAh improvement.
So the Classic should last 2 - 3 hours MORE than the Q5.
Hope this helps :)

I just switched from a Q5 to Classic last week. the classic has a better battery than Q5 for sure!
Perfect. Thank you to everyone who posted here. There is a sale on at Wind Mobile where it is only $299 when it started off at $449. So yeah...just wanted to know before I went and bought one. The only thing I'll miss is how small and compact the Q5 is, but I'm having problems with WiFi amd connectivity in general. Since I'm due for an upgrade, I might as well do it now while the price is pretty low.
I did that switch too. My q5 started having various issues till it quit completely on me. Got the classic and yes miss the size the q5 was but man alive does the classic feel better in terms of build quality. Battery will last a bit longer. Overall I'm really happy with the upgrade.

Have had my Q5 for about 50 months now, everything still working well but as soon as it dies on me, the Classic will be it's upgrade! I don't really like the Tool belt, but it's a very nice upgrade from the Q5

Classic's size is actually really comfortable and doesn't feel heavy or big at all.(I am a 5'6/168cm girl) I had the same thought before I actually touched the phone. The screen size is perfect as well as the overall appearance. People kept saying the classic feels hefty - it actually feels lighter in the hand than my iPhone6, which is physically lighter than classic. I think this is due to the good design of the classic, makes you feel like the phone loves you back. I prefer the keyboard on classic because after typing for a long time on the Q5, my fingers get quite sore from the harder buttons. I think classic's buttons are very similar, if not identical to the ones on 9900 - a lot smoother, softer, easier to glide across than Q5
How is the performance? Any lag or hiccups at all?
