It's as good as any. Here's ours.......
The first BlackBerry Q20 concept makes an appearance - looking good | CrackBerry.com
I see some issues with swiping from the bottom and inadvertently hitting the flat toolbelt buttons... especially the trackpad.

I like the one from BerryFlow

Yes I prefer that one also. ;)
The keyboard can be angled again since the belt is back.
Also, swiping up won't be necessary with the belt. You just hit the red "end call" button and it should do the exact same thing.

Is it just me or does the upswipe gesture look almost impossible to do with the trackpad and buttons there.
Right but what about the up-right gesture to get to the hub?
I am with you on this one. At least when I perform those gestures on my Q10, I most often perform them on the middle of the lower bezel. With the trackpad being there, I'd always interact with it when swiping up. I am quite curious how BlackBerry will work this out in the end.
By the way, is it known already whether they'll keep or drop the once introduced 1:1 screen ratio for QWERTY devices with the Q20?
Double-typed and posted with a BlackBerry Q10.
If you have an opinion on the return of the button bar vote in one of two polls about it!

I feel like something so old !!
If that's not a BlackBerry Bold idk what is lol
You're right and I'm liking it! Return of the belt...whoo hoo!!!
I hope they make another flagship QWERTY model in the future that doesn't have those buttons. I've already adjusted to not having them.

Do you use that much pressure while swiping? I personally would not hit any buttons while swiping because I'm merely touching the screen, not pushing on it, when I do the gesture...

No black boxes, yes!
Buttons flat and probably gesture based would make it seem like they aren't there at all!

This track pad BlackBerry seems to be very controversial lol so many mixed emotions. Think about it? Think back to your curve or bold with the track pad.. did you not enjoy it? I know I did, it was so easy to slide through letters and words. I don't know about anyone else but touch screen phones make it a little difficult to be exact with selecting word's on a screen even when using a 5" screen :). I like the idea of the track pad.. adds to ease of use.

There won't be any need to swipe from the bottom up like we need to on the q10. It will be a press of a button.
How will you do the Hub (up and right) gesture?
All that really depends on how the phone will actually look.. these renders all give a pretty good idea of what the phone looks like, and they look nice. But for all we know our way if thinking of the track pad and belt might just be wrong. Take EVERYTHING with a grain of salt

I wonder if the trackpad could be used for gestures. Push down, and slide right for the hub, or some such.

I don't get this obsession with "newer has to be better" now-a-days. Just because it's newer, doesn't mean it is better. And it's not like this phone will get rid of anything new, it just adds some PROVEN things back into it. I've said this a million times, it's something IN ADDITION TO what we have, not in place of anything. So what's with all of the fuss? If you really want to feel like you're such a techy with the latest tech, then the keyboard is "old" technology anyway, so just go get an all-touch phone and jump on that bandwagon...
Yeah man, I don't get why so many just jump the gun and follow everyone else's view. This is just great and plus according to CrackBerry new post, this is not BlackBerrys only line if phones, this is just one of many yet to come. Rejoice people this is great news

They could make a shortcut to jump straight into the hub quite easily. But in order to do the peak, I think you would still need to do a swiping gesture. Like people have said, the belt and trackpad will be an addition to the existing BB10 UX, not a replacement.
I'm using my Q10 right now, and when I swipe from the bottom of the screen, I don't always touch the keyboard. They will definitely need some bezel space, on top of a some software algorithms that ignore the touches to the top of the trackpad if a swipe is registered immediately after.
I'm not a BlackBerry engineer, so no need to pick this apart. Obviously they've figured it out if they're already advertising it.
