Anything to help the name recognition.

Nobody in the majority know or care to know what Q10/Z10/Z30 means. BlackBerry Q20 Classic, or BlackBerry Z3 Jakarta have a cooler ring to them, I think. BlackBerry needs to be cool again!

Consensus here in the office for a name we'd find easiest to approach management for purchase is: "Q20 Bold Pro". Runner up was my fave... "Business Bold... BBBB? lol Oh well, probably best i get out voted sometimes...

I think its a smart idea even though I don't like the name "Classic".
(What do you call the next "classic" and the one after that?)
But on the plus side if you try to buys 20 "new" phones you'll get push back.
If you say you need 20 more "Blackberry Classics" the paper work will breeze right through the system

Coca cola has a classic. And even though there's plenty of other less popular flavors, there's still a classic in 2014. The classic implies timeless, not outdated. It's not the BlackBerry "vintage" or BlackBerry "retro."

Call it "the new classic", like the way Apple call the new iPad "the new iPad".

So much of the usefulness of this Q20 Classic experiment hinges on how the tool belt is used to interact with the BB10 user interface that I remain sceptical about whether BlackBerry can pull it off successfully.

They're taking a user interface designed specifically to make the tool belt redundant and retro fitting the tool belt back on. I think there are only certain ways it could ever work and I think it will disappoint many people, it's not going to work just like how it did in legacy BBOS.
