I was wondering what will be the price range for the new blackberry classic. Any speculations about its price? Is it going to be entry-level? I don't think so.

I expect 350-450 Euro.

300-430 Would be my guess.
if it's over 400... it damn well better be of some 'DECENT' quality build.
Usually around 500.-600. Canadian when they first come out .
Will be >>€500 for sure.
Considering the specs I'd say it isn't worth more than EUR 500, even more I wouldn't pay more than EUR 400 for it. Passport seems to launch at roughly EUR 600. But being BlackBerry I fear the price will be rather high the first weeks. Keep in mind this isn't actually a flagship phone, so I hope pricing will be much cheaper than the Passport.
Hopefully not double-typed with my Q10
How much does a new 9900 go for these days, from BlackBerry? I'd say whatever that is +$100 for a Classic.

I'd bite if it were maybe $250-$300, but that's just me dreaming.
After purchasing the Nexus 5 outright I just cannot justify paying more than $350 for a smartphone anymore.
It'll be aboot $399.99 here in Canada

I disagree but to each his own. Google has seen a lot of success with the Nexus line and the Motorola mobile division was able to turn things around with the Moto G and the Moto E. Many other companies with the exception of Apple, are increasingly introducing smartphones at affordable prices. I see this becoming more popular down the road as technology becomes cheaper and smartphone plans soar. Here, in Canada in order to get a premium device, you've gotta sign up for pricey plan that starts around $80-$85. Emphasis on the word "starts." If you want a device that you can really enjoy then you're paying over $100 a month for 2-3 gb of data.
I've got friends that work for companies like Rogers and they say that ever since the introduction of 2 year contracts, their sales have dropped. They are struggling to get people to sign up for contracts because the smartphone plans are where they are.
Personally, I believe that Apple is still the only company in the world that can command premium pricing for their devices. We'll see what Blackberry does with it's line but in my opinion, they would be making a huge mistake if they did not price some of their products aggressively. They've seen a lot of success with the Z3, they can see even more success with the Classic if they offer a keyboard device at an affordable off contract rate.
With the Passport reportedly going for $599 us... Classic should fall somewhere around $400 us, my guess... both very well priced...

According to the Wall Street Journal, it has a Dec 2014 release: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1139...999775288.html
please can u you copy/paste article for us non wsj subscribers
The article is mainly about the passport. The bit about the Classic is as follows:
" BlackBerry in November will also launch the latest version of its device-management software, and will likely release in December its Classic smartphone, Mr. Chen said, which is designed to appeal to fans of its keyboard and email services."
A lot of people on other posts on this site have been quoting a price tag of $235 - I do not know where this figure has come from. It seems very unrealistic to me... I think a reasonable assumption would be that the device will market in the area of $300-$450 based on today's pricing news of the Passport costing $599.
Given the hardware in the Q20, a price of $235 is not unrealistic, but I do expect some sort of premium on it. So probably around $300.
Though carriers will probably jack up the price $50-$100 because...Why not, they all hate us. lol
My bet is $399-$499 CAD, $99 on contract. Hopefully it's less, but we'll see!
Hopefully low enough to promote a lot of fleet upgrades. The hardware isn't anything cutting edge.
Wish more solid info would come out for this one. Passport is nice but the Classic is what I want, can't beat a trackpad.
We are talking about classic, dude. That,s the passport price.

Cool avatar man. My dream car is a 2013 Boss 302. But the GT500 is cool too. :-)
Edit: Well, my "realistic" dream car. If money wasn't an issue I would buy like 3 - 4 2006 Ford GT's. Modify one or two of them, compound boost, and keep the rest bone stock for collector purposes...

Well, if money wasn't an issue, Shelby's CSX3015 would rate pretty high... ;)
Thanks. I was going through some pix from last year auto show and... yeah, if money wasn't an issue. There it was. So I dug up a nice clean version. Here it is, if you're interested.

Well, if you want to bring Shelby into the game, if money wasn't an issue, I would find an original Shelby 427 Cobra... :-D
