Got a z10 which I love but I do miss the traditional keyboard and I had such a lover/hate relationship with the track pad I wanna go back to it.

My contract has over a year to run but I may be tempted to get this phone early.

What are the specs compared to the z10 and iPhone 4s?

They say its the new flagship BB10 device. I don't mind the kb but the lack of screen size would keep me from going back.

Aren't they increasing the screen from the Q10's 3.1 to a 3.5 screen? Guess we'll have to wait and see, but also see if the 0.4 inches makes a big enough difference

I personally wish they would get rid of the trackpad. But nevertheless the phone still looks interesting.

keep in mind the Q20 posted by CB is just a concept and it's not the actual design. I'm interested in seeing the real thing though. I personally want to get the Z30. I currently own the Z10 and Q10.

Biggest changes look to be the addition of "the belt" and a 3.5" display, versus the Q10's 3.1". BlackBerry confirmed that all apps built for the Q10 and Q5 (i.e. developed for devices with a 720x720 screen resolution) will work on the Q20, so I assume this means that the resolution will be the same, but with a slightly lager screen. Almost exactly with what happened with the Z30.

No specs or images, all what we know is it will have a physical keyboard, a trackpad, function keys, and a 3.5" screen.

Will be interesting to see how this phone looks, size of battery, if it's got a removable battery or not.

Why can't it be a 3.5" 4:3 aspect ratio screen? It seems to me the perfect proportion so that the Q20 is not that much taller than the current Q5 and yet allow a better viewing experience with regards to videos when turned sideways. Just an idea...

That measurement is diagonal measurement. So the screen will be .28" or 7.112mm wider and taller than it is now.

Or the successor to the Q10. Not sure exactly what it will be named, but I'm guessing Q30.

A 3.5" screen in 4:3 aspect ratio would end up with a width of 2.1". The current width of the Q10 screen is about 2.19" so to keep the current width with that aspect ratio, you'll need something like a 3.7" screen in that ratio. It'll add 0.8" or 2.032 cm to the height of the device. Just pointing it out, not saying this is good or bad. Just so people have a better idea what it would have been like had they gone that route.

I'm very curious to see what the Q20 will be like. Not sure I'll prefer it to the Q10, it all depends on how Blackberry does it. I can't wait for (official) pics, in any case.

Unfortunate truth. Also, think about the iPhone 4 which had a 3.5 inch screen with a 4:3 aspect ratio. The width of the Q20 would have to be taken in to match the iPhone 4 and week the 3.5" and 4:3 ratio.

And I doubt a BlackBerry would ever get that thin again.

So I decided to look into this possibility and it is very doable in my opinion. I have a Q5 which has a screen width of 2.25". The 4:3 ratio would require the length of the screen to be 3" to maintain the same current screen width. Looking at my Q5 an additional 0.75" in length is all it would take accommodate this 3" x 2.25" screen.
