My wife and I got the z10 and the q10 when they first came out.
I have moved on to the Passport but my wife still uses her q10. I want to get her a Classic but she is happy with the Q and it isn't enough of an upgrade.
Anyone else waiting for a second gen Classic? Meanwhile I think she will stick with the q10.

Think a lot of people passed on the Classic 1 because it isn't an upgrade, and would love to see a better set of specs.
Classic 2... kinda doubt we will ever see it. Most likely there will be a similar device with a different name... and a different OS. So if you like the Classic, go ahead and buy it now.
Would much prefer to see a Q10-2 than a Classic 2. I'm very happy with the smaller size and removable battery. Just upgrade the Q10 internals and refresh the externals and I'll buy.

Totally agree. It's hard to beat that form factor!
I doubt we'll ever see another Q10 type device. It's too similar to the Classic, and I'd be willing to bet that the Classic sales have been better than the Q10 sales.
I liked my Q10 a lot, but looking back, I kind of think the Classic should have been released instead of the Q10.
Not sure, I think there is a market place for the Q10 ver 2 running Android. Perhaps BB10 doesn't suit a small screen.

Personally I think that enough differences exist between the Q10 and the Classic to warrant two separate devices.
What I think almost everyone agrees on is that the Classic should have been released as an initial BB10 device.
I doubt that I will see a Q10 ver 2. But I can hope.

Yes Classic has even outsold Passport 2 to 1.
There will be a future Classic upgraded device, Chen has already said so. So OP, wait it out.

I've happily used a Q10 for more than two years. I am considering trying an iPhone 6S for better work email/cal integration, but am in no hurry because my Q10 is still as wonderful as on the day I bought it.
If I decide that my next phone should be a BlackBerry, then I would most certainly wait until a new Classic is launched.

I want faster speed & removable battery, better Camera would be nice, but not required. I'll pay cash for a Classic 2 the day it arrives on Verizon.

I'm waiting for the Classic 2, but got the Classic anyway. Upgrade or not, sick of needing to look at my phone to answer and hang up a call. Glad to have the call end and call send buttons back...

Those were things I really wanted too. But I got the passport. I do use a headset a lot and I use the headset button to hang up.

Loved my Q10 to, still have it in the office as a spare. Also love my Classic, but it's a bit big if I'm honest. My perfect phone would be the size of the Q with the look of the Classic, updated specs would be nice but not essential to me.

You know what would have been really awesome? If BlackBerry released a small update for the Q10 and Passport, which allowed us to use the spacebar to receive and end calls, I would be really happy.

Just upgraded to the Classic and miss using my Q10! The size was perfect. I'm enjoying the Classic but it feels like something's missing somehow. I can't put my figure on it as I can do everything on it as I could with the Q10. The Classic is a sleek phone for sure, but I think the size of the Q10 was perfect.

Moved from the Q10, which I loved, to the Classic. Which, now I love even more. Slightly larger keys, trackpad, call/end buttons, and slightly larger screen are a hit with me.
And dont really understand the hate for the non-removable battery. I have a battery pack for when an emergency charge is needed. But the Classic battery is definitely a workhorse in itself.
