    1. I'm bored with my Q10. Tried a Galaxy S5 couple weeks ago and came back to my beloved keyboard.

    2. I want dedicated send/end keys. One click to end a call. Tired f swiping, swiping, swiping just to hang up. It's at the point I just wait for the other party to hang up so I don't have to.

    3. Slightly bigger screen will be welcome, especially with the giant blue Compose button in 10.3.

Those are wholesale values that one place is trying to buy your phone so they can resell it at a market price. Please can you find me one on ebay that I can purchase for 85$.
Exactly! trade-ins and sites that buy your used mobile build in a nice fat profit margin so they can resell it.

For real pricing info, look to a reputable resale site like Swappa. There, Q10's are selling for $150-$180.

I'm looking forward to 10.3 for all the improvements mentioned so far. But the gigantic default button is none of them

Agree Gazelle prices will be lower than true market resale value. I am just stunned Gazelle's prices are so low. The day the iPhone 6 came out, the iPhone 5S in Good (the middle level) condition fetched $350. When I see a Gazelle price I expect true market value is $50-$100 more. I really thought the Q10 would fetch fair market value in the mid 200-300 area.
No way the Q10 would fetch so close of a value to a 5s. A 5s would not sell on the market for only $50 - $100 over that price. You can likely get $500 or more for a 5s in good condition I think...

Immediately after iPhone 6 release, I sold my wife's iPhone 5S for $50 over the Gazelle $350 price, then a few weeks later when Gazelle dropped to $290 I sold my iPhone 5S for $60 over Gazelle's ask. I've had friends/relatives use Gazelle for Samsung, HTC, iPhone, iPad and Blackberry and in every case sold the device for $50-$100 over Gazelle's ask.

What's just stunning is just that Blackberries depreciate in value so much faster than those other devices.
Oh, I thought the 5s would be worth more than that.

Edit: I see Q10's selling around $200 on ebay. And remember it is also an older phone, and it's not an Apple, lol.

I've had a lot of different phones. Right now I'm using a Galaxy S5 as my daily driver but always find myself using my 9900 when I'm home (like right now lol).

I absolutely love my 9900 and would love BB10 crammed into this thing! I will no doubt be in line getting the Classic when it launches. Hopefully its sooner than later!

Over on Swappa the iPhone 5s is selling for around $400. The price recently dropped from the low $500's to the low $400's as there are 89 of them for sale just for Verizon. Folks making room for the new 6/6+ I guess.

Still has a bigger screen and trackpad and bigger battery and better camera lens and maybe the same cpu as z30 and for only $ 399 off contract?

    Not really waste of money

Yeah that trackpad alone makes it so much better than the Q10. However I wouldn't upgrade becausw while it is an upgrade over the Q10, not $400 worth IMO.

Guys, obviously the Classic will not be ONLY 399 off contract...as some people have hoped. This line of phones have always cost at least 599 off-contract, and I am guessing the Classic will be the same...

600 dollars for a Z30 with keyboard. Yes or No?

I have a Q10 and hate it. No precision when it comes to selecting and editing text, particularly in on the far left or with apps with function items right below the writing window. I've lost entire messages trying to backspace using that idiotic circular cursor.

Have you tried to long press on a word? It selects the word, the sentense, the paragraph. Just maintain the finger on the word!

When you call the cursor before a word, just hold shift, with the left thumb then mouve with the other thumb "from anywhere" on the screen, you start the selection as long as you want, back and forth, without needing those drops!

    Features available since 10.2.

No, the flagship device is the Passport.
The Classic will likely be only $399.

The only way we will see a $599 classic is if they make a quad core version.

This is a mid-tier phone. It will not have a flagship price.

The rumored price is $399 and I see no reason to doubt that.
The specs, even with the faster rumored specs don't justify a price of more that $399

Ya...I was waiting for the 9900 at the At&t store when it first launched. Cant remember what I paid, but I bought a fairly new one about a year ago for $100.

Since buying it again, the 9900 goes everywhere with me. I use it for notes, calendar, pics, calculator, etc...while my Galaxy S5 stays in my pocket. It's kind of like my personal assistant lol.

I'm hoping the Classic will simplify my life once it comes out? Until then, the Q10 (and maybe the 9900) will have to hold me over...

    Hiya,

It's editing text that's the main fly in the ointment for the Q10.

There's a significantly higher 'accidental send' rate with this device than any other I've owned.

If they release a quad core, 3GB RAM version of the classic, and the keyboard is guaranteed to NOT double type for 2 years, I will accept a price of $1000. I need serious tool (my phones are like tools for me) for business. My Q10 is only half there at this point.

I completely agree! Blackberry completely dropped the ball with text selection and cursor movement in bb10.

The trackpad should solve their idiotic decisions.

Leaks are saying Dual Core 1.7 GHz w/ 2Gb Ram. Will you still buy?

Also, Qi Wireless Charging Support, MicroSD up to 128Gb, Miracast, Micro USB 2.0 and SlimPort HDMI
I really hope that's all true. Definitely looking forward to wireless charging. The 1.7 chip, if the same as the Z30, uses the quad-core version of the GPU, so at least the visual stuff should work smoother...

I have a Q10 and I just want to add to the others in saying that the cursor placement and text selection is annoyingly imprecise and frustrating (I basically jab at the screen and just hope for the best), especially as I move words, phrases, and paragraphs around quite often when drafting. To me nothing beats the precision and efficiency of a trackpad/toolbelt.

I miss my Bold 9900 (keyboard was starting to give out so that's the only reason I upgraded to the Q10 on my carrier plan) and I'll definitely get a Classic when it's released. I don't care much about the specs, I just want the trackpad and function keys back.

There is no official statement on whether it will be a mid tier smartphone or what specs it will have.

Personally I don't think the reviewed pre release devices were final in any way..

With Foxconn as a manufacturer you can change the whole interior of the device just a few until production is about to start!

You've also got to remember the stainless steel bezel. The weight is not a result of cheap materials, so don't always come up with this price tag.

Anyway: launch price will - as usual - be about 35% above regular price to skim the early adopters (I think there are some around in these forums :-))

I think the price tag will be above 500$ for the first days / weeks!!
