I have seen on Crackberry that OS 10.2.1 has a picture password option.
    My Classic is running 10.3.2.2474.

The Device Password setting screen does not have an option for Picture Password.

Could this be due to IT policy (my IT policy requires a password)?
If not, why am I missing this option?

I would say that's an excellent guess... I have moved on to T-Mobile's 10.3.2.2789 on both my Classics, but .2474 had a picture password for sure... As does. 2789

Most likely due to IT requirements. I have the same issue with my Classic.

I'm running ClassicSQC100-3/10.3.2.858 on verizon wireless. I'm currently using picture password.

Yes, IT policy can disable picture password. if the BES is version 10 pre a certain update, there is no policy for picture password so it defaults to Disabled.

I guess that's the safest bet

I am not using BES, just my company's MS exchange server.

Picture Password is not disabled, it is simply not showing as an option on the Device Password setup screen.

If they require a password via Exchange, the device may disable Picture Password since it wouldn't meet their requirement.

If the option isn't there at all that means it's disabled by IT policy.

Sadly, this seems to be the case.
