In the last couple of weeks I've been repeatedly noticing that on my home screen, the "location services on" icon keeps showing for a few seconds, seemingly at random, then disappearing.

I haven't got any apps active that should be using it; I've tried opening and then re-closing apps that do use it (maps, speedo etc.), and I've tried restarting the phone - and still it's happening.

Has anyone got any idea what could be going on here? I suppose that it could be wasting battery power - and/or Dark Forces could be tracking me... (to the extent they're not already, of course!)

Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

Yeah,,since the security wipe it's appearing a lot of times on my screen as well but I'm never too concerned about it. I got nothing to be tracked and my selfie cam is covered with the screen guard too. Don't know much about why it's appearing that much of times but it is what it is.

It seems to be going hand-in-hand with a radical deterioration in battery life. That could be a coincidence and the battery might be failing, but I'm down to 31% after only 4 hours' use doing nothing special, which is appalling!
