    I'm on 8 out of 10 retries...

Why is it even asking for a password when I have never used the "software program" before and what happens after the tenth failed attempt?

Shouldn't be a problem . If you have never used it then there is nothing to lose. If you had, well then the data within the app will be deleted

You are talking about the Password Keeper app, right?
Well, you can try to delete/uninstall it, if you've never used it.
As to what happens after the tenth fail?
Dunno, I use it, and I remember my password.
If you are talking about the device itself, and you get to the 10th failed attempt, you get a wiped device.....

After the tenth fail Password Keeper will delete any saved passwords and goto first use mode.

If you've never used it before you have nothing to lose, so make two more attempts then set the app up for normal use.
