    For no apparent reason today my Classic just start alternating from a flashing red light to the BlackBerry Classic reboot screen. It was that way for 3 hours. I tried holding the power button, volume up and down. No luck. I was in the middle of calling AT&T to the activate the micro SIM on my Nexus 4 as I slam the Classic on the concrete. It then start loading up again. Now it's working fine. Anyone with a clue what causes this? Or experienced this?

    That's definitely not normal for a BlackBerry to do that. It sounds like a faulty unit. Is your Classic still usable or will you file an insurance claim to get a new one that hopefully works?

    It's working fine now. I never have that type of issue before. One side is noticeably dented, bottom slightly cracked, and the back cover slightly crooked. There's no damage to the screen so it should be fine.
