I just got myself a new BB Classic. What a nice upgrade from Q5. Look, feel and more space for apps.
BB Optical trackpad is back. Cool. Memories from BB 9xxx devices, however, I remember using 9900 bold - 90% trackpad / 10% touch (mostly for scrolling txt up/down) now it's vice-versa 99% touch and maybe 1% or less - trackpad, ha ha. Anyway I love it. :) :D :cool:
I'm going to buy used classic on this Staurday for 50$. Is this reasonable price?
At this point I wouldn't spend a dollar over that
Will you take the one if it is offered for free of cost.

I got my classic and replying here with same phone.
My expectation was to have enhanced bold 9900 experience. Classic fulfils my expectation. Typing experience with classic almost matches 90% of what bold 9900 offers. Key2 lags here as the experience on this device is nowhere near to bold 9900.
However, classic is slow. This we can clearly see when typing within any android app.
Android apps support on classic is poor as typing and navigation is sluggish.
On whole, classic meets most of my expectation.

This is to be expected on ANY BB10 device. The more android apps you have on your Classic, the slower it will run.
Well, agree! However, android apps run bit slower on classic compared to Passport.
And which twitter app will work with classic?

Sorry, I don't use Twitter but there is a thread somewhere here on CB Forums discussing that app. Maybe just the mobile web site?

Hello. I got a used one from Amazon yesterday. I am still getting used to actually typing again. I'm not sure how I feel about having a BB again so right now it's a second phone. I do enjoy the nostalgic feeling of it though. :)
Thanks! I'm using Twidere which is running very smooth without any issues. And I'm using lite versions of fb and messenger which running butter smooth.

Just noticed a new native BB10 app in Blackberry World called Bird10 (Twitter). It's probably pretty rough around the edges as it's under development but you may want to check it out also.

Just got my Classic a few days ago and I am loving the return to BB10 and the nostalgia that it brings of using a track pad! I took a little bit of a hiatus from blackberry (not on purpose), and I have been using a samsung galaxy S8. Even though the app gap can be frustrating, I find it fun for some reason to find apps that work for me on blackberry world or the amazon app store. I love typing away on the pkb and using the trackpad for everything i can. Hands down the Classic is still awesome and functional to use today !
Sold my Keyone a few months ago because I wasn't crazy about it. I thought that I was done with Blackberry devices. But I started to think I need to make a return to the BB10 device.
Then I was browsing Craigslist and someone was selling a classic near my home. I went over and picked it up for $60. Inserted my sim, and installed, whatsapp and Tunein radio. uploaded music and set up my bluetooth headset. She will be my secondary phone for a while.
I really miss the keyboard and the keyone keyboard was crap.
The LE keyboard is better than the KEYone's, but the Classic's is superior to them all.
That's also due to the Classic's overall size and unparalleled ergonomics.
As someone who used the Q10 for a few years, I love the form factor and phones are not made like this any more. It fits in my hand and back pocket nicely. I felt the Keyone is just too big
I just bought my second classic. Best phone I ever had. Im using whatsapp on daily basis, with video calls, telegram x is my backup for free wifi calls. I have three email addresses that I sync through my hub (best thing ever), etc. Its a workhorse, as it was meant to be.
Agreed. Classic is my favorite BlackBerry of all time! I still have a mint one that has never left the house. I use it for calendar, calculator, etc...
Unfortunately, the bar was set so high with the Classic's form and function that nothing else has ever come close!
I’ve always felt the KEYone was an excellent successor to my Classic but I always wanted BB10 to be what BBAndroid is.
I agree 100%. I think the Key models were a great phone using Android. I had a couple of the LE's but the lack of capacitive keyboard is a deal breaker for me.
With that being said, I'd take a LE with a toolbelt (and trackpad of course) over a capacitive keyboard any day of the week!
Still have and use my Classic. That is my favorite phone ever!
I just bought my Classic a week ago and it's the best phone I've ever had. I'm coming from the iphone world and won't be going back. I love the keyboard, the BB10 OS and that hub!!! I ditched social media apps two years ago and enjoy life more without distraction. I get work done on my Classic. This phone is a superb communication device for all my needs.
It may be impulsive but I just ordered two more backup Classics for when this one dies out. : )
I got my classic last year mainly to explore the OS and because of its form factor. I am not a dev but i love to see every OS and how it works. I also have android and apple but BB is like legend to me because it already has the features of modern smartphones, it was built and meant to last. imagine a phone that already has 2GB of RAM at that time (6 years ago), to have gesture touch, wireless charging, NFC, and a great UI that is ahead of its time. But that was a long time ago. Hoping there will be more people to work for BB10. I just couldn't and wouldn't give it up yet. Even if i already own a 6 inch android or an iphone , I still prefer the classic as my daily phone.
