I would put up with that if it were only because doing this with every device they make going forward would stop all the old-timers from indulging their obsession with pulling the battery any time they encounter the slightest hiccup in operation. ;)
I can tell you what it will look like: a iphone with typo keyboard + the belt!

I really hope it looks nothing like this. I will CRY!
Same here. I love my Z10 but sometimes I do miss my keyboard. so having a larger screen and a keyboard would be great, Loved the Torch so a slider would even be better.... keep em coming we will buy them.

Following 16:9 proportions, would result in something like this

If it's bigger than the Z10 it's probably not for me. I'm hoping it looks like this:
I might go for that.
Especially if BB10 gets revamped so it doesn't waste screen space on the square display.
With you on this. But, given the overwhelming trend against user-replaceable batteries, my expectations are low. :(

I believe it will be the same height of the Z10, but wider. I can't see to kb without function keys and if it's placed lower, it will be uncomfortable to hold and type

I think the Q20 is meant for the enterprise market (and to the CrackBerry market) Probably the Q10's successor (no belt and beefier) will come later on. The company I work for has no one holding on to their 9930's for dear life, most of them have jumped ship to iOS although I can imagine at government agencies the Q20 will go over well. Kind of an intermediate between BBOS 7.1 and 10.0 but something modern and slick. I would not expect to walk into any US carrier store to get this, maybe Verizon via direct ship since they are the largest and probably service most of the government agencies. It will be interesting to see how they integrate the belt with BB10.
My predictions: Aside from the Z3 and Q20 coming out this year I think we will see a Q30 (50?) and a Z50 be released to consumer markets [this will be interesting to see, especially at T-Mobile. Sprint better f'n carry this :) ] The Q30/50 being a souped up, larger, and beastly Q10-type device and the Z50 being the octa-core flagship we saw in the benchmarks. That would be the followup to the Z30. I'm not sure we'll see a successor to the Z10.
I hope a quad-core.....
Running leak 10.2.1.2102
Hoping for some high specs.. better processor and for sure more ram.. packed with a fat battery that will last a LONG time.
Better be really nice looking as well.

seems like a lot of ppl are excited for the Q20!!!
But will it FLOP HORRIBLY LIKE THE Q10 FAILURE? Only time will tell. The Q10 was bb's biggest fail *save for STORM*...and yet its my fav bb of all time. Interesting. I kinda want the Q20 but i might just wait for Q30.
But according to all the comments in regard to the trackpad: A replaceable battery is sooooooo backwards because nobody else has it anymore :cant-watch:
Small iPhone 4 screen is 3.5 inches and doesn't have a physical keyboard
IROC-Z10 But Mostly She Rocks Me!
hey everyone, just made this rendering. I still think combining the Q10 with the Bold 9930 would be the best. but also have to interaction as a droid due to apps being dominate in todays age. Just throwing ideas together. Together we can create the next best thing!!
The Q20 for me, sounds like the one to wait for. Q10 is good, but love track pad and flanking buttons.
3.5 inch screen is def big enough, I just hope its well specked.
Not your illustrations, just imagining phones like those, they look terrible... I actually think I'd rather stick to a 1:1 screen just so I don't have to carry around a ***** phone...
I for one pretty excited about this. Had a Torch before and currently have a Z10. I'm gonna ditch my Z10 the moment the Q20 is out.
Looks nice - but where's the trackpad?
I especially love that the wasted space because of the BlackBerry logo/name has disappeared and that you use the BB logo for the loudspeaker. Cool idea :)
Regarding screen size - I'd love to see a 3:4 screen :) I.e. a bit longer but not too long. Maybe also use a slightly curved design (as the new LG phone has).
But I think, it will be 1:1 which I also think is the best idea to limit the different screen layouts.
Just wondering when the new phone has a bigger screen (3.5" instead of 3.1") will it have a higher resolution? I assume so ... but how will the icons be shown? Larger icons?
If it does I'm going get a custom 80's style gold nugget ring with the words RIM on it and punch the first fool brandishing it in public. Lol.
BlackBerry Q10 ? & Full Metal CB10!
Speaking of curved design, and since they are going "back to the future" with the legacy buttons, a perfect time to bring up my favorite BlackBerry concept ever, the BlackBerry Blade. Pity they lost the jump to Samsung and LG on curved devices, this could have been a real hit:
And for the first time, I noticed a really cool aspect of the BlackBerry Blade that I had never noticed before:
It stands by itself on its side. How cool is that? :D
