Same here. I want to delete the app. I don't use it.

Hi there,
Deletion of the mentioned applications is possible, but the icon will still remain on the homescreen, though will not react further to opening.

I had this same issue as well. What I did to resolve this issue- open your file manager, click on "Misc" (some may have the file located under the android folder) in there I found an Amazon APK file. I clicked on it and it updated my Amazon AppStore and the issue was resolved. At the time of this issue, I was running 10.3.1 on my Z30.
Hey Trini. So, just clicking on the file automatically updates it? I just did that and nothing really happened? I s the update super subtle? :)
Yeah, this is indeed annoying. Same goes for OS update reminders.
Exactly what I did. Done deal.

Yes. I clicked on the APK and it circled for a bit- once the screen was loaded- I was given the option to update. Did you find the APK file in the folder?
If all else fails it will stop with the update issue if you purchase $30 in apps with a subscription to Prime and Fire TV.:D
Open the amazon app store, click on the menu icon, settings, version and release notes. Click check for update and there will be an update for the app store to download. When down u shouldnt recieve it again till the next update push.

As the above post mentioned, it is not an update of your installed apps from Amazon ('my apps') but an update for the store itself.
I also took some time to figure it out ;-)

This is what finally fixed it for me. Thank you so much. The notification was getting annoying.

You could also uncheck Notifications for this app.
Instant Classic!
Swipe down from d top and click Device Monitor. Select Memory. Look for Amazon appstore and close it. That should resolve it.

Never used the Amazon store, don't care for it.
Update the Amazon app store itself from within the app. Problem solved.

While the .apk was at another location within the "Device/misc/" folder this worked perfectly for me!
This is a never-ending issue for me on my Passport. Found this: https://supportforums.blackberry.com...3206307#M12373 and it seems that by just turning off the notifications it will take care of the problem.
