Seriously? I can't find auto brightness settings anywhere. Am I missing something or is BlackBerry being cheap as #*+@?
I usually take it for granted. Didn't check before buying.

Should be a brightness sensor on the left hand side next to the "call speaker" if you have a Black phone it won't be visible easily. :)

Well, I don't see auto brightness settings anymore; unlike the previous BB's I had.

i dont have it either on the Classic, but I don't really miss it...
If it's the same as all the other bb10 devices, then you'll find that auto brightness is always enabled.
The manual slider adjusts the average brightness to your personal preference. The auto brightness then adjusts the screen brightness so that the overall brightness looks the same no matter what the ambient light conditions.
You can test by simply putting your hand over the top of the phone. After some seconds you should see a change in brightness.
Hi, technology moved a bit in the last few years... there are several post on this topic, so if you need details, search these forums/web. But is short, autobrightness is always on (there is no switch) and slider for brightness only represent 'maximum level'.
...
Ah, I could've sworn that I had it on my Z30 and other BB10 device. I just got the chance to test it and it works indeed. Thanks.
