Here are some great shots of DTBlackBerry's Classic along with photos from another user Jialiangdavidli. I believe there was a friendly BB meet held on Saturday. It's an older prototype compared to pp4e's that was posted here [http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe.../#post10924862] as you can see by the silver trim on the camera and the "CLASSIC" title on back.

I know I'm in the minority but I'm not too crazy about the classic branding on the back. I dunno, it's just creates an unnecessary focal point. I guess that's the point.

But it's subtle. At least it's not some big obnoxious branding...

I like the 'Classic' on the back but I like the metal bb logo even better.

Looks great, I just wonder if there will be button options for peeking and opening the Hub. Looks like you could easily trip over the trackpad while trying to swipe up and over. The Q10 was set up perfectly for transitioning between KB and screen, so I wonder how the Classic will handle the same motions, or whether there will be physical button options as an alternative. It would be awesome if I could operate it fully one-handed without changing my grip.

Hehe wait till we see what Verizon does to the back! I wouldn't be surprised if they placed a strike through on the classic and put a verizon logo next to it.

Some early 99's had an issue with users accidentally touching links on the touchscreen while scrolling up. Very hit and miss depending on device. Trading devices around in the office so that one of our "smart guys" could play with it, he finally identified the ones that didn't do that had the top edge of the toolbelt elevated about a 0.015" out from the screen. Just enough to limit unintentional screen contact. We started shimming under the top edge of the keyboard with some mylar tape to elevate it and pretty much ended the issue. Later heard, never confirmed, that the screen area just above the trackpad might have been "desensitized" in later OS's. Don't know that for sure. One would expect that BB's experience would preclude the issue.

IMHO, adding the "Classic" name behind the phone DOES make the phone feel like a Classic BB (just like Bold, Curve etc... ). If they want to go retro that is.

I would preferred the back without the elongated bar on the top.
I like the back in the picture below.

But I still buy if it has the elongated bar.

I would prefer the camera to be centered so there's no way for your finger to get in the way of the shot if you're holding it two-handed like a regular camera...

I'm assuming the elongated window has function. Some pictures make it seem as if the window has a "bump". It that is indeed the truth, then the elongated window keeps the phone flat and even when laying on a flat surface. If the "bump" was only on one side, it would sit crooked. This is an issue with the newest iphones.

It shouldn't stick out at all, it makes more sense to protect the camera lens by sinking it in so it doesn't touch the table when you set it down. I don't get this new thing of sticking the glass out so it's more likely to be scratched...

I know it doesn't seem like a big deal, but I REALLY loved how my 9900s trackpad used to light up compared to my 8530s. Sucks they chose not to do the same with the classic...

I don't really care about getting thinner and thinner. My Q10 is already thin enough. If making the Classic as thick as the Q10 means a larger battery, then that would be a food trade-off in my opinion...

It's not sticking out because of design, t sticks out because the phone is thinner than the camera module. You can only make those cameras so thin. I agree with you in the thin department, I don't need my phones to be any thinner at this point, we have gone beyond usefulness in being thin. That being said, I guess BB doesn't agree so they landed on this design. So theres a camera bulge, and you cant have both. I assume if apple cant do it, then BB wouldn't be the first.

Hard to tell. They've been changing the phone a lot close to release, and these aren't a perfect indication of what will come to production.

I can't imagine it won't light up, though this trackpad IS smaller than the one on BB7 devices of the past...
